beck-a-boo

Our blog is going private in just a few days. I've been waiting because I decided to start a new blog. And it's just now up and going. I decided that since I love sharing all of my crafts and recipes that I'd keep that part of my blogging public, and just keep our exciting family stuff private. If you'd like to see our private blog just let me know what you're email is and I'll add you on! Don't be shy :) If you've already given me your email I'll send you an email soon inviting you to view our families Minnesota-life!

My new little crafty blog is:

It's still in the making, but come check it out and see my latest happenings!

Mother Dear

Today is Mother's Day. It has been a wonderful day. I think it really hit me when I was at church and all of the primary kids got up to sing "Mother Dear", and Liv is way too small to sing (obviously), but it was seeing all of those cute little kids, seeing those dear words, and it really hit me - "I am a MOM!". I am one of those mom's that the primary sings about each year. I have my own little bundle, who will someday sing me those sweet little songs. I am so happy. I am full of love. I am full of gratitude. I love my baby girl so much. It isn't until you have a child that you realize just how much YOUR mom loves YOU! My mom is my #1 fan. She has sacrificed so much for me. She is such an amazing woman, and I love her so so much. Happy mother's day to all of you wonderful mothers!

Medicine Lake: Check!

As you may know, Minnesota is the state of 10,000 lakes - and I think that may be an understatement! I love all the lakes, big and small. We tried out Medicine Lake this afternoon, everything was absolutely perfect. About 70 degrees, partly cloudy, slight breeze, a beautiful view, a yummy picnic lunch, a hott husband and the sweetest baby girl ever. Couldn't. Be. Happier.

Just a Day in the Life

Livy has been sitting up by herself pretty good. So I was excited to get a video of her sitting, but in fact this video is a perfect visual of what Livy's life has been like since day one 7 months ago. I love Livy, spit up and all :)

Cinco de Chop-o

For Christmas Ryan got me so super awesome knives - I proved today just how awesome they are :) I was chopping up some tomatoes for the tacos at Ryan's work Cinco de Mayo lunch, and sure enough I chopped off the tip of my thumb. I got really nauseous once I saw what I had chopped off on the knife - gross I know! After 8 hours of being bandaged up, it was still bleeding, so I went to the Urgent Care at the hospital and got all fixed up.
After getting all bandaged up, I asked the doc, "so...what now?" He laughed at me. Seriously though?! He said that nerves come back about 1 mm per week. So by the time it's August I'll have all the feeling back in my thumb. Wow. The docs million dollar question was "do you think your fingerprint will be the same?". What do you think!? Will my fingerprint come back? It's not like I have been fingerprinted lately, so I'll never really know, but kind of weird to think about. Try taking care of a baby with only one thumb...not the easiest thing in the world. Boo. This stinks. I guess I've learned my lesson, and will probably never do it again!

First Day at the Park

Today was Livy's first time at the park. She was born at the beginning of winter, and it's been a long winter. So it was 65 degrees outside, nothing on our agenda, so we went to the park! Combined with the wind and the sun, Livy didn't know what to do with her eyes. She kept turning her head and squinting - but I think she liked it! Not only was it her first day at the park, but it was her first time in a swing! She lasted a good 15 minutes in the swing, but I think the wind was starting to drive her crazy. I am looking forward to A LOT more days at the park with Livy.

Silly Bath Time

Livy is a crazy girl. She has us laughing every single day. She is very vocal too. Most of the people that see her, she's sweet, quiet and wide-eyed. Here's some proof of her craziness. We don't know where she gets it!?
