A 56 minute life...

We are taking advantage of all the fall festivities, and did some awesome pumpkin carving at the Packards for FHE! Look how cute Ry looks, he's concentrating so hard.
But it paid off, look at that beut!

"kaw, kaw..."

Ya, I went with a hippie pumpkin, lots of stars...

Look at all of those good lookin' pumpkins. I love how everyone's is like cool and complicated, mine looks "special". But make sure you take a good look at my pumpkin now...

...So remember how I told you to take a good look at my pumpkin (you can scroll back up to take a good look at it if you want), well that's the last time you're going to see it. When we came home there was a "fatal freak car backing up over the pumpkin in the drive way" accident....

At least we got pictures while it was still alive! It only lived 56 minutes, Oh well, maybe next year....

Apple a Day...

Go Cougars! We're just going to pretend like the game against TCU never happened, and even though some might think the Quest for Perfection has ended, "perfect" people still make some mistakes...right? This is us at the game, notice the sun on the left side of us...ya we have some nice sunburns on just half of our face.

After the victory, we came home and cleaned up the house, then treated ourselves to some yummy Brick Oven pizza. Then to celebrate the lovely fall season, we then made yummy carmel apples. We picked up the Perdues, picked some nice green Granny Smith apples,

melted some yummy carmel,
then rolled them in white chocolate, pretzels and cinnamon and sugar.

Bring it on Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! They were such a delectable treat!

I am APX!

Ok, not really, but Ry now is! For those of you that don't know, Ry is now working for APX, a security system provider. It is a much better job for a part-time student than the credit union was. He's been there a few weeks and really seems to like it.

APX had a huge party last night to celebrate its huge success in sales this summer. They gave everyone T-shirts and keychains, then 500 people got backpacks, 500 got duffle bags, 500 got mountain bikes, and one guy walked away with $10,000 in his pocket, and two other guys drove away in a brand new car. Ya, needless to say, we walked away with nothing. But that's ok, it's always fun to watch other people win prizes.
Ok, enough about me being very unlucky. But, it's now time to tell you how very lucky I am! I have the bestest husband! I love flowers, and he must know that, especially daisies! Don't daisies just make you smile? They're such a happy flower. I was needing some happiness after the test I took on Friday...
Ok, and I think this next pic wins my absolute favorite picture of the year. But it will only mean something to those who are Farnsworth's...does Ry remind you of anyone?
And for those of you who don't know my dad...well this picture just about sums it up. I love you daddy!

Here comes the ...Brides?

Ok, this is random, but it's AWESOME! So my friend Lindsey Hill in my ward, is a huge fan of the show FRIENDS. And in an episode, Rachel, Phobe and Monica all put on their wedding dresses, and sit there, and reminise. Ok, so, same idea, but we had a party! Lindsey put together this party with her cousin and invited a bunch of girls to come with their dresses on and celebrate the best day of our lives!

There were a few that had their Prom dresses on, either becase they aren't married, or because they don't have their dresses here with them.
Lindsey made a wedding cake, and we all "cut the cake" again...

They had chocolate fondue, and we all walked down the aisle, and took turns with the bouquet telling stories from our dating, engagement, wedding day or honeymoon.

I was just so glad my dress still fit! I left work a little early so Ry could zip me up before he went to class. So this is me making him dinner before he had to go...

Then the worst part was that I had to wait for him to get home so I could take it off and go to the bathroom! I sat on my couch, in my dress, doing homework for like 45 minutes...it was great.

So if you're trying to think of an idea for your next party...there ya go!

P.S. happy half-birthday today to me!

Love Pink

Pink pink pink...that's what it's all about when your best friend is having a baby girl! 5 weeks in counting, and doesn't the lovely Lindsey Swan look fabulous?

Ya, I'd say so. CeLisa and Caitlin pretty much put it all together, so they get all the credit for the wonderful presentation and fabulous food. Caity made these really good chicken croissants, CeLisa picked up some Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and it was a scrumpcious feast!

I saw this cute idea in a magazine earlier this week, and I just had to make the cute little diaper cake for the shower. It was so easy, but so darn cute! And can I say, diapers are so stinkin' expensive!! I might just have my kids adopt Sargie's strategy...running outside himself and doing his business on the lawn...cheap and easy...just kidding, but seriously...

CeLisa came up with this idea to have us all have binky's in our mouths the whole time. Whoever took theirs out lost their chance to win the grand prize! Ya, it was fun, but didn't last too long.

For Brooke Keith's shower she got the cutest gift, I loved it. It was a cute little frame to hang all of your little girls bows and flowers on. So back then, I decided I wanted to make one for Linds. So this is what I came up with...

Do you like it? It was quite the experiment. I knew that Baby Swan's bedding was black and white, so I went with that and threw in a little pink, of course, it's a girl! What's a girl without some pink?

Another activity that CeLisa planned was to have Lindsey and Brooke race to eat a bottle of gross baby food. Then Caity and I had to feed it to them. But with poor Lindsey all pregnant she couldn't even stand to look at it. So with my competitive attitude I was not going to let Brooke and Caitlin win, so I downed it down myself! It was probably the sickest thing I've ever eaten (turkey dinner flavored), but I had to win. And nothing's better than a good win...right? p.s. go BYU, way to beat them Lobo's! booya! It was so fun to see all the girls again, they're always there for a good laugh! I'm so excited for little baby Swan to come!

Snow...Really?

What a week. I feel like I find myself saying that all the time, but seriously, the days are so so long, but the weeks just seem to fly by.

Ryan, and Shanna (and baby) came for a short visit earlier this week. Ryan was doing some recruiting for his company, and we got to have dinner with them on Sunday and then grabbed some Smart Cookie for FHE!

It was fun to all be together. I am so super excited for my first, I guess you could say, "blood-related" niece . Shanna is probably the cutest pregnant girl I've ever seen, I love it. I can't wait until December, when the first Farnsworth grandchild will be here!

Ok, so like I've said before, Sargie loves to be by my side every chance he can get. One of his favorite things is to spoon with me. And I might say, he makes a mighty fine spoon.

Ok, i admit it, I like to be by his side too. This is one of his favorite pasttimes, he's looking at the "birdies!" Good thing we have these windows so he can watch the birds in our trees all day. He's such a funny doggy.

Another weird thing about Sarge is that his new favorite thing is to take things and hide them under the bed. I guess that's a dog's instinct, to take things and bury them, but since he has no dirt to dig, he just hides it. I find shoes, bobby pins, purses, hair bands, and basically anything he can take and fit under it.

Ok, I'm weird too. Can you believe it's supposed to snow this Saturday? I'm not quite ready for that yet...
