Last Sunday, Ryan dropped Olivia and me off at the airport, on our way to South Carolina for a week of Jackson family time. As we were waiting for our bags in the Charleston airport, we waited, and waited. My stroller came, my car seat came, but no bag! This was doubly miserable because I put all of Olivia's things and mine in the same bag. And since we were 2-1/2 hours from the airport I wasn't going to get my bag until Tuesday. So good thing there was a Target close by, I went on a little shopping spree to get everything for a mama and a baby. Anyway - off to a bad start, I was still determined to have a great week! Livy got to spend a lot of good time with her cousins and Grammy.

We spent most of Monday getting my things at Target, grocery shopping, and just hanging out. On Tuesday we headed back down to Charleston to do some things while we waited for Ryan to fly in (and get my bag!). We went to the beautiful Boone Hall Plantation (since 1681). There were beautiful 300 year old Oak Trees. We got to go on a few tours and learned about the Slaves Quarters, the lifestyle of the Plantation Owners, and a lot about the history of our nation. We then went to Market Street, which had a whole street of these little shops things people had made and were selling. Livy loved all the people (and spending time with Uncle Colby and Auntie Jane Anne).
Then we went to grab some dinner at a little place called Poogan's Porch.
After a long day in Charleston, Ryan's flight was delayed! He wasn't going to land until 11:15, and we still had a 2-1/2 hour drive. So Ry's dad decided to stay in a hotel and rent a car to drive back in the morning. No driver likes a sleepy long ride! We were so excited to be with Ryan!! Now I felt like my vacation could really begin.
