Penny 5 Months

I absolutely love 5 month old babies, especially this one. She is so alert, so responsive, so smilely, trying to move, and trying to eat, and just as sweet as can be. Penny is just starting to roll over. She has done it a handful of times successfully, but she is constantly trying to get over to her tummy. If she is on her tummy she can easily roll back, but she gets so frustrated if she can't. She has started to blow bubbles, which is my favorite. And her newest trick, which is her favorite, is sucking on her bottom lip. But, in even greater development...she decided to start taking a binky!!! This has been such a HUGE lifesaver. Before she would just cry and cry, and so the binky has made most of our car rides a lot more peaceful.

I don't know where she got these beautiful blue eyes, but I just adore them. They are so blue, and have the most beautiful almond shape. And those dimply kissable cheeks. She definitely has Ryan's smile. Their lips are almost identical. She is so tall and skinny too. She hardly has any little rolls, so I think she'll be mobile quickly because she doesn't have as much chub to carry around.

She has also reached the glorious age of being able to play with toys! She has really wanted to reach out and grab things. She gets super grabby, and is constantly grabbing my necklace, my hair, my clothes and anything her hand touches she instantly grabs. Penny loves sucking on her fingers. Especially her pointer and middle finger. Yesterday she actually had all 8 fingers, excluding her thumbs were stuffed in there. She's been great on her new little play mat, and sitting in her Bumbo like a champ! We are going to try solids within the next few weeks, and probably start sleep training again so we can sleep through the night!

Post Holiday Shinanigans

We were excited to go to our new ward! It is the most perfect ward for us and our young and growing family. There are so many young families in the ward, and we know it is the perfect place for us to be. It was also Olivia's first time going to primary as a Sunbeam! She absolutely loved it. She was excited to sing the songs, and be in her class with friends her age. We then ran to Brooklyn's blessing right after church was over and was excited to be there with the family.

I was so happy that Jen decided to stay here an extra week even though Tim had to go back to Texas. We took advantage of that time to eat at lots of yummy places, and she even slept here one night after our Bachelor Watching Party. I told her that I would do a little photo shoot for Trey in his blessing outfit while she was here. The photo shoot naturally turned out to be a photo shoot with my girls too. These were a few of my favorites:

Love this sister of mine and her sweet baby. So glad I got extra time with her and can't wait to be together again!

New Years Eve

Ever since we had moved in to our new house I wanted to have the whole family over. But Christmas came and went and it never happened. Although the Cavanaughs were already gone, we still had the whole gang over. We had a nice dinner, then the girls did some little crafts while the boys watched some Football. Then we put ALL the kids to bed, which was an incredible feat. Then we stayed up till midnight playing games. It was a such a hoot. It was so fun to stay up, and be goofy, and silly, with no where to go. We counted down the last 10 seconds of the year, kissed at midnight, and then all finally went home. It was such a fun memorable night, so sad I didn't get more pictures of everyone. It was a great way to bring in the new year!

Temple Square

We all (the whole Farnsworth clan) went up to City Creek and had a delicious meal at Cheesecake Factory and then went to look at all of the beautiful lights at Temple Square.

Christmas Day

We had the most perfect, most lazy, and most wonderful Christmas day this year. Livy loved opening all of her presents, and opening Penny's presents as well! She loved her new toys, Minnie Mouse dollhouse and Cupcake Legos. Ryan and I got a new fridge, shutters, and a new house for Christmas!

We also signed Livy up for dance class, so a big part of her Christmas were all of her new dance clothes. She immediately wanted to go put them all on and dance around the house. I love this little ballerina and her love for music and dance.

After we had our own Christmas, we went to Mimi and Grandpas for the traditional Farnsworth Christmas spread - pudding rolls, oranges with powdered sugar, and sausage.

We opened all of our presents, and spent the morning/afternoon all just hanging out and chillin' in our pajamas. Livy loved playing with her cousins, dressing up as princesses and dancing all around.

After we felt beyond lazy, we decided to get some fresh air and run around in the snow. The kids weren't the only ones having a blast. Even little Trey-man got his first snow day.

We ended the day with another feast, and more lazy hanging around. Like I said, the most perfectly wonderful lazy Christmas.
