The Update

Here we are at 24 weeks. I've had some friends dying to see an update, so here I am! I've been feeling really good and enjoying the 2nd trimester while it lasts. We've started painting the nursery, and I am so excited to get the room all situated for our little girl. We decided to paint the room a nice neutral gray, all of the furniture in white, and everything else bright colors - pink, yellow, green, orange and turquoise/blue. We went against the tradition of pink walls, but I have been loving gray with everything, and I have this vision and I know it will just be the cutest room ever. She's moving around a lot more lately, but she especially loves it when I exercise early morning and when I'm laying in bed at night. As I get bigger this just becomes more real each day. It is so exciting and we love having this to look forward to.

Happy Father's Day!

We had a perfect Father's Day. I got to spend all day with my little father-to-be to my baby, we had a a yummy dinner with my dad, and then had some dessert with Ry's dad. I have the best hubby, the best daddy, and the best father-in-law in the world.
When my parents came home last summer they had to throw out their grill because it was just so old and about to blow. We couldn't let my dad go through this summer without his grill, so my mom got the grill and all the kids pitched in, he was pleasantly surprised and we had a delicious grilled kabob dinner.
Since Ryan is a fabulous grill-master and with the baby coming I knew he wasn't going to buy anything for himself for a long time, so I got him a grill too! He was so surprised and so excited! I can't wait to have a delicious grilled meal this week :)

The Ten Miler

Ry has quite a few races this summer, but he was so excited about this one. It was 10 miles down Provo Canyon and ended in Riverwoods. He said it was just such a beautiful run, it was nice and cool and didn't rain! You better believe that he made sure to pass up those last few people in front of him in the picture before the finish line. Ryan is so amazing! I can't wait for him to be a cute daddy :)

We're having a...

We couldn't be more excited! We were both thinking boy and we were apparently both wrong. We are so thrilled to bring a little girl into our family. We had a wonderful doctors appointment this morning. Our little girl couldn't be any more perfect. She measured perfectly from head to toe and was happy as she could be all curled up in a little ball. Her knees were touching her forehead and she remained in that position for the whole appointment. We are now so excited to start shopping and decorating her cute little nursery. We love our baby girl!

Warm Breeze and Palm Trees

We love Maui. This was a much needed trip and vacation. We were able to completely relax, enjoying one anothers company, spend time with family, enjoy our beautiful surroundings and have fun. The weather was absolutely perfect and we did everything that we wanted to do. We slept, relaxed, went snorkeling, ate lots of yummy food (a big thanks to Sue!), went on a fun hike, played at the beach, went shopping, and lots of other fun things. Ry's whole family was there except Jared, Jen, Tanner and their new little one Blake. It was fun to make memories and be with our family. Time always seems to go by way too fast, but we loved every minute.

Ry and I went on a nice little lunch date to Hard Rock Cafe, which had delicious food as well as an amazing view of the ocean.

We all went on a beautiful hike up to Twin Falls. It was a short little hike, but there were so many pretty flowers, plants and trees along the way. Then there was a huge waterfall and fun little freezing pond everyone jumped in for a quick swim.

The boys went golfing and played tennis while the girls did some shopping.

There are a lot more pictures I'll have to get from other family members, but these are a few of the highlights. So much fun. Thank you Bob and Sue! What a fun vacation, we miss you Maui!
