Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice a few weeks ago. It was so perfect for Livy. She got to see Mickey and all of his friends. She got to see all of the princesses, they sang, danced, skated, and she loved every single minute. I was so glad we were able to go and share this magical moment with our little Livster. She talked about it for days wanting to go back again. She was so attentive and sat almost still in her seat. It was the cutest thing ever.

Happiness

Today was Ryan's birthday, and boy was it a busy one. We woke up and met our friends, The Wrights, at Kneaders up in South Jordan. They were our besties when we were in Minnesota. I cannot believe that is has been 1-1/2 years since we've seen them. They are some of the best people we know, we love them and wish we could be closer to them! But we loved the hour we got to spend with them.

We came home and opened Ryan's birthday gifts, he was a little excited, and he a reason to be! He got a phone charger (lame, I know, but it was necessary), some new awesome basketball socks, and...his dream basketball shoes! He has been looking at these for months online. Retail they're a crazy $400 or something absurd. That was never going to fly, but I found some on eBay at a reasonable price and we so excited to surprise him for his birthday. These have been his dream shoe ever since the 8th grade when he saw a Varsity basketball player wearing them. These pictures tell it all. I love it.

We went to Tucanos for dinner, then to the BYU basketball game. It was a birthday for the books. One year older and wiser too!

Black Friday

We have become big fans of Black Friday. Almost every year we've been married we've gone up to Park City at midnight for some shopping. But last year we went Friday morning and discovered that the sales were the same and there were no crowds. This year, we had the Traverse Mountain outlets open just a few miles from our house, good and bad news. We hit up the Nike outlet with almost everything 50% off, JCrew had all of their sweaters at 50% off, and I'll be honest I bought enough for every day of the week. Then Carters had everything 60% off plus a 20% off coupon I had = awesome deals for the Livster!

Then we met my parents at the BYU bowling center at 10 am, the first ones there. We realized that Livy has never been bowling! She loved it...for about the first 6 frames. She loved watching her ball roll all the way down. And if it went in the gutter she'd yell, "Oh...". Then she figured out pretty quick to cheer for every one else when they went and when they hit the "white pins" down. And yes...she did insist on having a pink ball.

Then we went to Brick Oven for lunch, went home for some naps, and started hanging up our Christmas lights and putting up the Christmas tree! We went to the Groesbecks for a Jackson family pie night party. It was a jam-packed day. But it was a fabulous one.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year, Ryan's parents went to Texas, and my family was here, so it was really nice to not have to split our time or choose which family to go with. Even though we didn't have anyone in town, it was still a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner with family that we love! My mom made a fabulous turkey, we had a pie per person, turkey, potatoes and all the traditional fixings.

The Farnsworth's were trying to get a nice family picture, and Livy didn't want to be left out, so she moved her way right on in the middle of the picture. I love how her hand is even on David's leg. She keeps up laughing.

It was a getting a little chilly and dark, but the boys were able to put in a few passes. The girls even wanted to take a turn.

Then while the boys watched football, the girl made candy countdown chains to Christmas, and made necklaces.

Then Livy chose to do the Disney puzzle, of course. She is beyond obsessed with Disney characters. But she soon lost interest once we found all of the faces and went to watch "Punzle" with Addie on Mimi's iPad.

Puzzle complete, 3 slices of pie, and a tired baby later we called our Thanksgiving day a definite success.
