Our TV Debut

While we were at the Aquarium today there was also a camera there with KSL News. At one point I noticed the man was filming Livy and I. I just searched on the KSL homepage, and this is what I found - it was on today's 5:00 PM News.

Look at '1:07', then again at '1:41'.

Fancy Dinner

The night that Rob and Julie and their kids came in town Sue put on a "Fancy Dinner". All the kids got to dress up, and even Snow White herself was there! Actually two Snow Whites, a princess, a fairy, and a Knight. :) There were fancy plates, fancy goblets, and shiny fancy silverware (but all paper and plastic). The kids loved feeling so special. It was so cute to see how happy they were to get dressed up. Even though Livy is pretty young, she loved having her little tutu on and dancing around. She's loving having all of these older friends to play with.

The Living Planet Aquarium

On today's agenda was The Living Planet Aquarium up in Sandy. I've been wanting to go for some time since Livy has such an affection for animals. Sea World wasn't super successful, but today was much better. She was more excited to see each of the fishes. It was especially fun because she was able to be with her cousins. Livy and Grace sure have become great buddies.

I also saw a girl from my Minnesota ward who also just moved back to Utah. Then I also saw my friend Lindsey with her cute kiddos, we were in the same ward in our first ward after we got married 5 years ago. So random, but so fun to see friends from other walks of life. It was a very successful and fun trip. I can't wait to go again with Livy's other Grammy, and her daddy.

Bean Museum with Cousins!

This week Ryan's brother Rob and his family came in town to visit. We're so excited to have them here. Livy is especially excited to play with her older cousins. Today we all went to the Bean Museum and then to Brick Oven for lunch. Livy absolutely loved walking around the museum, pointing at all of the animals and growling. There are a whole bunch of animals upstairs that have horns and kind of look like goats, and Livy just pointed and said ,"goat, goat, goat...". She loved being with all of her cousins. We're excited for what else we have going on this week!

The Tubby

Livy loves her bath time. Especially when all the girls join her.

Hope

Everyday Ryan and I get a reminder email to enter into a contest. A contest to win a beautiful million dollar home up in Midway, UT, $500,000, and brand new 2012 GMC Terrain. We enter once on HGTV.com and once on FrontDoor.com
Our chances of winning...slim to none. There are probably millions and millions of other hopefuls out there just like us. Even though I pretty much know that it's probably rigged and there is no way we'll actually win, I love having that hope for those few minutes it takes to enter into the contest each day. I love imagining what it would be like if we actually won. I love picturing me in that brand new house. There is nothing wrong with dreaming.

Some of you might think we're silly, but we're silly hopefuls. Someday...

Tate & Livy

Friday night we went to grab some Frozen Yogurt with our buddies/AF neighbors The Durrants. Ryan and Ryan are now working together at Qualtrics (well since September), so they see plenty of each other, and Lindsay and I occasionally come to Friday Lunches, but it's always nice to chill at home with friends. Livy and Tate are only a few days apart, so it's so much fun to watch them play and interact. Tate is definitely all boy, and Livy is all girl. What crazy kiddos. We also go to bring Sarge along to play with their little Lucy doggy. Once the kids finally went to sleep, we couldn't resist a few games and rounds of Hearts. The Durrants always try to pawn off all of their treats on Ryan and I, because they know we'll eat them. We had some very interesting and funny conversations - it's always nice to have some friends that you can talk about anything with. Good times.

A walk down memory lane - 16 months ago!

Puppy Book

Livy is obsessed with dogs. Actually, I think obsession might be quite the understatement. We have quite the selection of books that have dogs in them, because her Aunt Janie also loved dogs. So recently, Livy found this book that has full-page pictures of dogs. She loves it. I love how every time she sees a picture of a dog it's as if she's never seen one before, and gets so excited. My favorite, is at the very end when she waves and says, "hi puppy". What a character.

2 minutes

2 minutes isn't that long. What can you get done in 2 minutes? Do your mascara? Put on your socks and shoes? Try on 2 different shirts? 2 minutes isn't that long - but it's amazing what a baby can do in 2 minutes. 2 minutes to a baby is a whole different time frame. Take off her shoes, find a box of Teddy Grahams, empty an entire box of Teddy Grahams, stomp on and smash a whole bunch of Teddy Grahams, dump out Sargie's water bowl, watch Elmo, and enjoy every minute of it - just two minutes with a baby.

Ok, so that's 2 minutes. There are 60 minutes in an hour, and 5 hours between wake up time and nap time. Needless to say nap time is a little gift from heaven to all mommy's.

Madonna's Back-Up Dancer

With all of the joy, excitement and laughter the Super Bowl brought, this was definitely the highlight of my night. As soon as the halftime show started Livy was glued to the screen. She love the dancing and music. She has the most serious face when she's dancing, it is so funny. Her new favorite move (at :11-:18) is when she sticks out her left arm, puts her head over her left shoulder and turns to the right. I don't know where she got it, but she does it over and over again (usually when the camera is off). This girl has rhythm and music flowing through her veins, that's for sure.

Card Making Party

On Sunday while most people were having a Super Bowl Party, my mother-in-law and I had a Valentine's Card making party. It was serious. Look at this table - paper, stickers, brads, stamps and punches galore.

Gonna Get You

Livy loves to be chased. As soon as someone starts to crouch down, and slowly come towards her, she gets the biggest smile on her face, and starts to turn and run. Her little laugh is so contagious. She is so funny. We love playing with her.
