Nothin' but Net

A few weeks ago I set up an appointment with a representative from the Channel 4 News show, "Good Things Utah", a few of you may be familiar with it, but Four Chairs is going to be on in a few weeks! You'll all have to watch it and see how cute Lindy, the owner is and how awesome our store is. As a thank you they invited us to come sit in their box for the Jazz vs. Nets. Yes, the NJ Nets are the worst team in the NBA. And, yes, the Jazz beat them 30 points. But we had so much fun. Andy, the store owner, and his daughter Taylor also came to cheer on the Jazz and enjoy the cozy box seats. We helped ourselves to sandwiches, drinks, nachos and ice cream. We love the Jazz. What a fun night.

Roomies Babies

Baby girl and baby boy on their way for two of my freshman roommates, so fun. They were engaged on the same day, married a few weeks apart, and both found out they were pregnant only a few weeks from one another as well! Heidi is due on Feb. 2 with a little girl, and Janie is due on Feb. 25 with a baby boy! They are both going to be the best little mommies. Heidi had her baby shower last weekend, but I was so so sick with the worst cold ever, so I wasn't able to make it. But luckily Heidi hasn't gone in to labor yet and so she was at Janie's shower this morning. Since their presents were the same thing I made them open them at the same time, and aren't these little blankets just the cutest!? I'm pretty proud of my work. They turned out so stinkin' cute. It was so fun to see my old roomies! Love these girls!

Alena has been married for almost 18 months and got a job with Dow Chemical and is as beautiful as ever. And Jessie just returned from Madrid, where she served her mission with my parents, small world eh? We missed Steph who is in D.C. for the semester. But it was so fun to see them all. I can't believe it's been 4 years since we were staying up till late hours talking about boys, eating brownies and jammin' to music. Love you girlies!

Quelfed and Smurfed

About a year ago Brittany Perdue and I realized that her missionary brother and my younger single younger sister would be a perfect match. So we anxiously waited until Brady came home and we put our match making skills to the test. The Perdues, Brady & Jen, and Ry & me all went to Cafe Rio, which was delicious as usual, then we played some awesome games and had way too much fun.

So you're probably wondering what Quelf and Smurf mean, it was the name of the games we played and they're just as crazy as they sound. It was so funny. All of these pictures were during the game Quelf, if you've ever played it, it definitely gets you out of your comfort zone and breaks all the ice. It's great with a bunch of crazy people too. We love our buddies and we're so glad that we can act like idiots in front of them. Ha.

I had to stand as a human X until my next turn (8 minutes at least - awesome shoulder work out), Ry had to have "Quelf" on his forehead as well as tap dancing while reciting his most embarassing moment, Jen had to keep her hands on her head for way too long, Britt did "Lil' Teapot" and every time we made eye contact she said "I have you now", Brady was a great mumy, and Tristan had to stare off in the distance and not speak to anyone for the whole round. Like I said, a bit crazy, and so funny.

Workin' Hard

Busy days + too tired + having too much fun = lack of blogging. Ry and I are both working like crazy and loving it. I love love love my job. Seriously, if you live and Utah and you haven't been to Four Chairs Furniture, you need to come, you'll never want to go to another furniture store ever again :) Everyday there is something new, the store is always changing, the customers are so nice and fun, and the furniture is just so awesome.

Most of you already know, but I actually am the new store manager. So I'm working a whole lot more, but I'm loving it more and more each day. It can be exhausting being on my feet, moving furniture around, making people happy, fulfilling orders, but it's awesome.

We have some fun plans coming up these next few months, it's so fun to have things to look forward to. We also absolutely love our new place. We have the best neighbors and things just couldn't be any better.
