July Instagram

Livy and I were matching for church.

Livy was so excited for her new Toy Story coloring pages, so she kissed them.

Qualtrics gave us a night at 7 Peaks on them. Livy loved the wave pool.

We ran the Freedom Run 10K, then stayed for a bit of the parade.

Beautiful.

Family date night at Cafe Rio.

Happy new running shoes to me.

Wicked

For Mother's Day this year Ryan got me tickets to Wicked, which was coming to Salt Lake this summer. We saw it a few years ago in London, but we were sitting on the very back row on the balcony. I mean it was still a Broadway show, and was still amazing. BUT...this time we knew the music, had great seats, and had months of anticipation before going. We went with our friends the Durrants and had dinner at Asian Star, the best Chinese food EVER! Then we went up to the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake and got there just in time. The girl who played Glinda was hilarious. She was just all over the place and had the funniest way of interpreting her character. It was amazing.  I was grateful for a fun date night with my hubby, it couldn't have been any better.

Pioneer Day

We kicked off our Pioneer Day Celebration with a 10K last Saturday. Ryan and I ran together and did it in 51:35 and we both got 3rd in our division! That was pretty cool.
Then today, Ryan still had to work, but we still made sure it was a party. This morning we went swimming with Bob, Sue, and Josh, then we grilled chicken and had a fabulous lunch and Ry was able to join us. After Livy got a good nap we then went swimming with my parents, Jen, Tim and Ryan surprised us by coming home from work a little early! It was an exhausting day of swimming, but the weather was perfect, and we had a blast. Then for dinner we went with the Jacksons to Sakura for some yummy Japanese grilled food. It was a great way to spend a Tuesday.

Family Updates

We have had the most amazing summer. Lots of fun time with family, lots of time outside, and fun things ahead too! I have been having lots of people ask about when we're moving back into our home in American Fork since it was going to be 2 months, then 6 months, then 13 months later we still haven't moved back!! Well we are moving back in the beginning of August. We are so thrilled. We are having a lot of the house painted, carpet cleaned, and ready for our arrival.

Since we had to get rid of about half of our furniture when we moved to Minnesota, we've had a fun time getting "new" stuff (thanks to KSL, Craigslist). I just finished making some new pillows, and my next attempt is making a pouf! We'll see how it goes. We still need dining chairs, and a TV, but besides that I think we have the essentials covered.

We're excited to have neighbors! As well as a young ward with lots of young families, and little kiddos for Livy to play with. I'm joining a Joy-School with 3 other moms that have almost 2 year olds, I'm sure it'll be fun for Livy and me. I'm excited for our dinner dates with friends, the men's games, the woman's DVR'd shows, and the kiddos running around together outside.

Things are going well with Ryan's job, he's really loving it, he's had some great success, and got a promotion a few months ago! So we're excited to see what the next few years will bring with Ryan and Qualtrics. Exciting times. I love my little family, and I know now more than ever that no matter where we live as long as I have my little family I'll be as happy as a peach.

Livy let me "straighten" her hair the other day for church. She loved it. She just smiled at herself in the mirror while I was doing it. I love my little girly girl.

The Boat is Out

Even though it's July, the boat has finally been fixed, de-winterized, and ready for some fun! We had our inaugural boat ride today. The weather was perfect, about 79 degrees and the water was 77 degrees. Livy loved the boat. She was talking about it all morning, she was so excited to go swimming and go on the big boat. The princesses came along, of course, she wore her cute little life jacket, that was Aunt Jane Anne's! Josh went wakeboarding, and did great! But the water was a bit choppy for our liking, so Bob, Ryan and I all tried out wakesurfing. We all go up, and had fun, but a bit rusty. Next time will be best for sure. Livy did great! She got very concerned when someone was out of the boat, but overall she had fun. She took a great nap when we got home though! Can't wait to go a bunch more this summer.

We thought Livy would like riding on the board...I guess not! Haha
