Date Night

So go to the Festival of Colors and get covered in colored chalk? Or go to a Rubgy game and see men throw each other and step on each others faces like it's no big deal? It's a toss up, but we went with the Rugby game.

First off we went to get some yummy dinner at one of our favorite restaurants (we won't say the name of it because we want to protect the identity of all of those who were involved..), and they take us right in to seat us, as we sit down Tristan's face is directly in the sun, so we asked if we could move to one of the 7 open tables around us, the guy went to ask his manager, which was in hearing distance, and said "well the sun will go down in about 20 minutes or so...", hm, ya, that's ridiculous. So we said we didn't want to wait, and sure enough they were able to accommodate and clean up a booth for us. We move to our new booth, our waitress then comes to bring us our drinks and sure enough, she spilled an entire glass of water all over the table and Brittany and I. Hm. She felt bad and told us to save room for a free dessert (score!). When she brings me a new glass full of water I later noticed that it has huge dirt ring all inside of the glass. The food was incredible, and we had a great time, and I'm sure we'll continue to go there again and again, but it was just one of those moments..."what else could go wrong?"

We then went over to the BYU Rugby game and had a blast. Don't we look like sisters? Well the ticket seller person agreed with us ;) We all love football and soccer, so rugby is the perfect sport to watch and have a good time! BYU beat Utah State 106-3....wow. They ended the game with 11 minutes left...I'm not sure if there's a mercy rule, but I think Utah State had had their fill. Ry caught one of the plastic eggs they were throwing in the crowd, he's holding up the voucher he won for a "Free BYU Rugby Sticker!" Good job hon! What a fun night!

Real BYU

So I bet you've heard of Real Madrid, and for all you locals I'm sure you've heard of Real Salt Lake, but I don't think many of you have yet heard of Real BYU. This is the fabulous coed intramural soccer team that I have played on this semester. We just won our second game in the tournament yesterday, so we've got a few more to go ;) There are 5 of my parents missionaries on this team (Chris, AJ, Brad, Katie, & Jeremy), the girlfriend, brother and wife of one of the missionaries (Laura, Tristan & Brittany), and a good friend and his cousin (Jared & Joseph). There you have it, Real BYU.

We had a few rough games, but our season quickly turned around for us. We've had so much fun playing together these last few months. I am going to miss intramurals so much. I don't know if I could be on some city league; I love to play soccer but I'm not much of a die-hard soccer player. I have played on 5 different soccer teams while I've been at BYU, made it to the Championship twice, and have never won the whole enchilada, hopefully this last time around will get me that t-shirt.

After the game a few of us headed to Magelby's Fresh for some delicious breakfast. Pancakes took a lot longer than the french toast, so we waited...and waited...but it's always worth it.

Summer To Do List

This is not your everyday T0-Do List. Besides from the obvious things I'm looking forward to this summer...my parents homecoming, our graduation, and Kelly Clarkson Concert...there are a few other things I want to experience the Summer of 2009. With the list below, I include anyone and everyone that wants to do any of these things to please join me, the more the merrier.

• Hike Timpanogos
• Hike the "Y" (preferably at night)
• Tube down the Provo River
• Have s'mores and roasted Starbursts at a fire up the canyon
• Wake board and become awesome...
• Make baby blankets for my sister-in-law and friends who are all prego
  
• Run in a race, even if my knees will hate me for it
• Take golf lessons and drive the ball further than 30 feet
• Go to the full-moon ski-lift ride up at Sundance
• Read Harry Potter (as many of them as I can)
• Eat a big juicy steak

Ok, so those are my top 11 things that I want to do this summer while we're still in Provo. Once again, you are all welcome to join me in any of these activities. Do you have anything that you think I should add to my list?
Most of all, I just can't wait to soak up the SUN! Come on Summer!

The Weekend

We have had a lovely weekend. We used a gift card we had and had a yummy dinner at Olive Garden, then Ry's sister Jane Anne and her boyfriend came over and we made some carrot cake and played some games. We loved their company.
Then Saturday morning, Ry ran the Rex Lee Run, and did a fantastic job! Sargie and I went and cheered him on and then met him at the finish line.

It was a little chilly, but the sun was out and it was a beautiful morning. If my knees didn't hate me so much I definitely would have ran too, but that's ok, I loved to cheer him on. Then an hour later Ry had an intramural basketball game, and with an intense last few minutes Udonis (their team name) was able to pull through. I love watching him play basketball, he's so awesome. I hope our little boys some day can play just like their dad.
We are loving this spring weather and can't get enough of the sunshine. Come on summer!

Less than 100....

Ok, for those who know me, know that I'm a little excited to graduate. In my planner I have a countdown. There are 26 more days of class until this winter semester is over, and there are 99 days until I take my very last final in college. I have had senioritis for over a year already, and I am anxiously anticipating being relieved of daily tasks, assignments, readings, papers, tests, presentations, etc. Life is a bit crazy right now with so many projects I'm currently working on, but I guess all good things come to an end ;) !

Jazz Fanz!

Fondue with the Perdues...catchy huh? After one failed attempt at melting the chocolate, we tried again and ended up with a delicious dessert.

It's been a busy week with classes and work, so we decided to reward ourselves with some Jazz tickets. Yesterday afternoon at about 1:00, we decided we wanted to go to the game. So I got on Craig's List, found some super cheap tickets and had a blast watching the Jazz. The Jazz were on a 9 game winning streak and made it 10 by beating the Denver Nuggets. The game didn't start until 8:30, so we didn't get home until almost 1:00, it was a late night and we were both so exhausted from a crazy week. Needless to say an awesome picture of us with our Jazz T-shirts was never taken. I did catch one of these balls though!

Last week Brittany gave me some sacred recipes from a favorite local mexican restaurant. I tried out the sweet pork, and was it delicious! I was pretty proud of the result.

It's finally the weekend, and I am so looking forward to relaxing and doing nothing for the next few hours.
