Oceanside

We've been spoiled with another week in another paradise. My Aunt and Uncle were gracious enough to let us use their B-E-A-UTIFUL condo in Oceanside with a gorgeous view of the pier and the ocean. My mom, dad, Livy and I drove down Monday and stayed over night in Vegas then drove the rest of the way on Tuesday. With a bunch of construction traffic and a wrong turn we were so grateful to get here to Sunny San Diego! The night we got here we went out to eat at a nice little place called The Longboarder Cafe. It was delicious! I spent most of the time walking around outside with Livy since she was just so tired. But we survived. We all slept very well that night.  *Warning: Picture overload.
On the way to Cali, grandpa's Slurpee quickly became Livy's once she had a taste:

On Tuesday we went to the San Diego Zoo. Once again, Livy was a tired girl. Lucy was nice and happy, but Livy was a stinker about 75% of the time. They loved seeing the animals, especially the giraffes and tigers. "Cece" and "Vivi" in the double BOB.

Livy was very grateful for some frozen lemonade.

After a long day at the zoo, she fell asleep before we even got out of the parking lot:

Jen and Tim flew in Wednesday night. Thursday we went to the drove beach cruisers, played some games and picked Ryan up from the airport. We spent the afternoon at the beach, then had a yummy grilled chicken dinner. It was superb. We topped the night off with a fun little s'more treat on the rooftop fire pit.

Friday morning we went to the beach and the girls went crazy, they loved playing. This was a monumental week for Olivia. Even spending a whole week in Hawaii Livy hated putting even one toe in the sand. But after sitting on a towel for a few minutes, playing with the sand, and eventually making her way to the water she was loving the sand! She was sitting in it, playing with shovels, and acting like a normal little toddler playing in the sand. She was so much fun to watch.

That afternoon all the boys went golfing, so the girls decided to do a little shopping! We got some good finds at the Carlsbad outlets. Our shopping quickly became playing in the fountain time. Then we grabbed some dinner at Rubios. I loved being with all the girls!
Saturday we went to breakfast at the Beach Brake Cafe, I got the Banana Crunch French Toast and according to my waitress it was indeed "Bomb!" :) Then we spent another fun morning at the beach. This is the view from our window.
Then Saturday night we got a babysitter from my sister Melissa's ward who watched all four girls and we went to the Padres game. They lost, but it was Mormon night, so we got good tickets and had a good ole' time. It was a nice little vacation.

 All of the sweet babies!

We are driving back tomorrow and Ryan was flying back tonight, and we thought of the idea last minute to have her fly home with Ryan. We took advantage of her being able to fly for free, and she was able to get home in 2 hours rather than a 12 hour drive! I have the best husband in the world. I was so grateful for him willing to take her and a wonderful mother-in-law who will watch her tomorrow while we drive home. It was a perfect plan, and I can't wait to get home to my lovely hubby and beautiful daughter. Thank you sunny San Diego for a fun relaxing trip!
