Freezing Temple Square

We had several attempts at going to Temple Square. It is something that we always love to do, and it just was never in the cards for us! Due to other events, or the weather, or family in town we never made it. The last night before New Years Eve (when they turn off the lights), we realized we had never gone, so we HAD to go! The only thing was that it was FREEZING! So we packed several layers of clothing, and were determined to go. On the way up, just as we're getting off the freeway, Penny threw up, everywhere. Everything she was wearing was completely destroyed. So we kept her in her diaper, and that was it. Bundled her up in the stroller and went to H&M at City Creek and bought her a whole new outfit. Because the weather was so cold Temple Square was pretty much deserted! We were able to walk through pretty quick, see what we wanted to see, stopped for a treat and hot chocolate then called it quits. It was such a memorable night and I am so glad we were so determined to go! I love the lights and the peaceful feeling it all brings.
