Memorial Day Weekend

Our Memorial Day Weekend could not have been much better! Ry went golfing, we went and saw our grandpa's graves, saw a movie, went up to Park City and shopped at the outlets, had a BBQ with Ry's parents, we went swimming, played catch, slept, relaxed, and loved having a day off! I think my favorite activity of the weekend had to be hiking the Y with Jen, Ry and Sarge. We were so proud of our little puppy. There were several other big dogs pulling people up the mountain, but our little poodle could have out-ran and out-hiked any of them. He just kept going and going, he loved it. We never knew he was such a good little hiker! It was such a beautiful view!

It's time for #5

So what have I been doing with my spare time? The Office is done for the season, The Biggest Loser is all said and done, and the Perdues are in California. But I'm in school and working right? Yes, but it being my last two classes, and only 3 weeks left, my motivation is slowly slipping through my fingers. I am taking a golf class, and if I could go to the golfing range everyday I would. But on my list of things to do this summer, it included reading a series of books...

As soon as Winter Semester ended, I began on Book #1, and the 4 weeks since I have spent most of my free-time reading the eventful life of Harry Potter. I have just finished the 4th book and I'm excited and can't wait to get to the 5th. Am I nerd, ya probably, but I love it. I read at the gym, while I'm making dinner, and before I go to bed. Just imagine my grades for this term if I was reading my textbooks that much! A big part of my motivation to read the series comes from the invitation to a Harry Potter Party on July 10th with Ry's extended family. Everyone has to dress up as their favorite character, and everyone has to make and bring some kind of trinket from the books. I have forgotten how much I have loved reading because all the reading I have been doing for 4 years has been forced upon me. Once I'm done with Harry Potter what should I read next? I can't wait.

Introducing Addelyn May Farnsworth

My second niece was born today at 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 22 inches long. She is a beautiful little girl and both baby and mom are doing very well. Crissi and David are the two very proud parents or this adorable little girl. Addelyn had a very good delivery, she's healthy, strong, and as precious as could be. There are few things better than holding an innocent newborn in your arms. She got to meet one of her 3 uncle Ryans today, as well as auntie Jen and auntie Becca. There are plenty of pictures, I figured I'd post them all because I'm sure her Grammy and Papi in Spain would love to see their second beautiful granddaughter!

Happy Mother's Day!

What a wonderful day, we get to think about how wonderful our mothers are, and we don't even want to imagine where we would be with out them! I am now going to brag about how absolutely amazing my mother is.

My mom has always been my #1 fan. She always has showed me such an amazing amount of support. I don't remember one choir concert, one piano recital, one soccer game, or one softball game in which my mom wasn't there to support me. Not only did she come and sit there, but she had the camera out and ready to go, she would cheer "you bet!" at all of our sporting events. When my friends and I would go to my house for lunch in high school my mom would make us a feast, she wouldn't just warm up some frozen pizzas, but it lasagna, garlic bread and watermelon slices. My mom was always home when I got home from school. She was always there to hear about our day at school, she always wanted to know what was going on in our lives and she always wanted to know what she could do to help. My mom made almost all of my formal dresses for the school dances and weren't they amazing. She is an incredible seamstress, a wonderful cook and I hope I can meet the high standard she has set! My mom has lived so unselfishly, she is constantly thinking of others, she is always finding ways to help others and show her love for them. She has been an amazing mission mother in Madrid, and there are 300 young missionaries and many members and investigators who have become better because of the love she has been able to show them. I love her so much, and she means so much to me! I love you so much mom! I'm your #1 fan!

Volleyball Fanatics...

Ok, so we're not quite fanatics, but we appreciate some good quality competition. We had the chance to go to the NCAA Mens Volleyball Championship: UC Irvine vs. USC. It was such an amazing match. Both teams were so good and had such incredible athletic ability. The way they serve is unbelievable, throwing the ball 25 feet in the air, timing their jump perfectly, jump 4 feet high and hit the ball at an extremely fast rate. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, eventhough we wish BYU had made it to the finals. We decided to cheer for UC Irvine when we got there, since we didn't have a strong preference for either team. We're glad we cheered for them, because they were the champions!

Earlier that day, we helped the Perdues move into their new apartment (out of our ward...boo, we'll miss our church buddies). Moving the furniture was quite the memorable activity. Because of the massively HUGE couch they just got, it did not want to fit in the door at any angle. So, why not just completely remove the window? Yep, Tristan has some mad skills, I don't know how he ever got that window back together in one peice, but he did it! Anyway, they drove back to California today for the next month! Have fun in Cali, work hard, we'll miss you Britt & Tristan!

Baby Showers Galore

This was definitely the weekend of the baby showers. I love it. There are few things I love more than watching cute pregnant girls opening cute little outfits and blankets for their new arrival. The first shower was for one of my best friends from high school, Shannel Tingey, due in September, with a little girl! It was so fun to see my friends and to catch up a little with them.

So since I had all of these showers coming up (1 more next week might I add), I decided to buy A LOT of material and make some little blankets. I was lucky that all of the mothers-to-be are all having girls, so they all have the same blankets...haha.

The second shower was for Ry's cousins wife, Ashley, and she's due next month! She got some extremely adorable little clothes for her little girl. It was a fun little Jackson family get-together. (no pictures included, sorry!)
The third shower of the week was for my very own sister-in-law, Crissi. My sister Melissa was flying in from AZ for one of her friends weddings, so it was a perfect time to plan a shower as well. We had a small turn out, but we made the best of it and had fun.

Another blanket!

We had my cousin Emily, my aunt Diane, my Grandma Farnsworth, Nanny, Crissi, Mel, me and Jen. We missed all of those who couldn't make it!

We had a fun time with Mel in town and we hate to see her go already! Ry and I love being with our families. We are both anxiously anticipating the whole Farnsworth family together in July, and all of the Jacksons together in August! We have such wonderful families and we are so grateful for all of their love and support!

Congrats Jane Anne!

Ry's beautiful little sister is engaged! We couldn't be more thrilled with her and Colby, they are such a fun and cute couple. The happy couple will be married on August 15th (the day after we graduate), in the Draper Temple.

Jane Anne actually left to London yesterday for the Spring term study abroad. She is going to have such an amazing experience! But, unfortunately, Ry and I know what it's like to be in different countries for over a month when you're engaged. Jane Anne, we wish you and Colby the best of luck as you're apart, I promise it will make your love stronger! We love you, have fun and congrats!
