Congrats Jane Anne!

Ry's beautiful little sister is engaged! We couldn't be more thrilled with her and Colby, they are such a fun and cute couple. The happy couple will be married on August 15th (the day after we graduate), in the Draper Temple.

Jane Anne actually left to London yesterday for the Spring term study abroad. She is going to have such an amazing experience! But, unfortunately, Ry and I know what it's like to be in different countries for over a month when you're engaged. Jane Anne, we wish you and Colby the best of luck as you're apart, I promise it will make your love stronger! We love you, have fun and congrats!

Weekend Get-a-way

The weekend has come and gone so quickly, but we had so much fun. We drove down to St. George on Wednesday, stayed the night, and went to Las Vegas on Thursday. When we got to Vegas we went to In-n-Out for lunch, yummy!

After shopping at the Outlets for awhile, we checked into the MGM Grand and got ready to go to Phantom. I was so excited, I could hardly stand it. And can I say that it was absolutely amazing! I know almost every word to the entire play, I almost cried a few times because it was so amazing and I was so happy. It was the best birthday present ever.

Friday we drove back to St. George, had a very relaxing day and then woke up Saturday morning and drove up to Zions. Ry and I have both lived in Utah most of our lives, and neither of us had ever been to Zions, sad I know. But it was so beautiful! Now I understand why people come from so far away just to see the beautiful landscape.


Now the vacation's over, and it's back to another term of school and work! At least the weather is finally nice, I have to get going on my list of things to do this summer now!

A time to celebrate!

Last week to celebrate my birthday my Nanny and we went to one of my favorite places, Brick Oven. Especially since it was my birthday, I got to embarrass myself by having people sing to me and get a free chocolate mousse pie! Yum.

We are all finished with finals for Winter semester, and even though it's super nice weather here in Provo, we're going away! As I mentioned before, we're going to St. George and I get to celebrate my birthday again by going to the Phantom of the Opera! I'm excited, can't wait, it's tomorrow night! There will be many pictures and stories to come. Stay tuned!

The Big 22!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was such a fabulous day. First of all it was a reading day, which meant that I didn't have class AND I couldn't even take a final yet. So I slowly got out of bed, went to the gym and Ry made a yummy pancake breakfast. Anyway, after studying for a few hours, Jen took me out to lunch at Zupas. I went to work for a few hours, and got a coupon for some Bookstore fudge. Ry took me out for a wonderful dinner at Macaroni Grill, I decide I wanted to go there months ago, I love it. We always get the Teriyaki Salmon, it's so good, I definitely recommend it. Then Jen made me a super cute chocolate cake, and her friends Jilian and Kayli came over, as well as my sister-in-law Crissi. We enjoyed some cake and ice cream and watched the movie 'Bolt'. That is my kind of movie, Bolt reminded me so much of little Sarge.

But the best part of the day is that Ry got me tickets to PHANTOM of the OPERA down in Vegas and a night in the MGM Grand Hotel (thanks to Travelzoo.com). We're headed down to St. George and staying a night in Vegas as soon as we finish finals. Thank you everyone for all of your birthday wishes!

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter! We woke up this morning to a beautiful, sun-shining day! We went to church and I basically ran a 'one-man-show' in sacrament meeting. I was kind of embarrassed. I was called Friday and asked to do a piano number, sure why not? But then I was called 2 hours before church began to play the organ, hm, ya I took an organ class almost 2 years ago and I don't think I've touched an organ since :) I think I held my own, but I might as well have given the opening prayer and given a talk while I was at it!

After church we had a big Easter feast with the Perdues, Jen and her friend Jilian. We grilled chicken and steak kabobs, with mashed potatoes, grilled pineapple, a salad, strawberries and brownies! We ran out of time because everyone had to go home, so Ry and I colored some eggs! I have to admit they're not the most beautiful things, but we had fun.

We're almost done with the semester. Only two more days of class to go!

Conference Weekend

For all the Farnsworth's that see this picture, I'm sure there is a flood of memories and I hope you're all salivating! A tradition that has been in the Farnsworth household since before I can remember, is that mom would make yummy pudding rolls for Sunday morning of conference. It was only one more reason that we all had to look forward to conference weekend. The rolls are cooked in a bundt pan, so the rolls on the top get a bit more cooked, so growing up there were 7 of us and 24 rolls. So everyone got to have 3, and you had to take at least one burned one. Then we all got to fight over the left over three rolls. But when it's just me and Ry no one has to eat the burned bottoms if we don't want to, and we wanted them this Saturday, we couldn't wait until Sunday.

We had a nice relaxing day of watching conference. I just love the opportunity we have to listen to the words and counsel of the prophet and apostles. After the first and second sessions we went up to Ry's house so the guys could all gather before they were on their way to priesthood. Ry and his dad matched, naturally, someone had to take a picture.

While the boys were gone, all the girls made the cutest cards ever! Sue's sister came with her daughter and daughter-in-law, and then Sue's neice also came. Everyone that came brought their own idea of a card that everyone could then make. We decided that when you make a cards you spend most of the time just deciding what to do. So why not have someone else design a card and then everyone get to benefit. We loved our girl time! Thanks for a fun night Sue!

Today was the day I've been waiting for...

I applied for graduation! How exciting is that. For the first time I feel like I am ACTUALLY going to graduate. What a wonderful feeling. I have never worked so hard for anything. I mean who spends 4 years, 5 days a week, and about 10 hours a day working towards one thing? Ok, probably a lot of people, but the reward is so sweet. Working hard has never felt so good. I feel as if I have been running for miles and miles and I look up and can finally see the big blue sign "FINISH". Now I'm at a die-hard sprint to get through finals in the next 2 weeks, and 2 more classes this spring term.

I have loved that Ryan and I have both been in school, it makes things so much easier. We just understand what each other is going through. And we can kill any potential social life we would have during the week and dedicate our time to studying. Ry's such a hard worker, he can often out-study me. He's in the top in his class, and I couldn't be any more proud of him! I am so excited for the adventures that are yet to come.
