Laughing with Dada
Ryan always gets some good laughs out of Livy. She loves to play with him. This was one of the first times that we've really seen her kind of imitate someone. She's making the same face Ryan is, and is loving it. She thinks she's so funny - and she also thinks her daddy is pretty funny too.
Dinner Time
Livy always gets hyper at dinner time. She's usually eating at 6:00 when Ryan gets home. So she's excited that she's eating Squash, Sweet Potatoes, or whatever it may be - she's excited to see her daddy, she's getting excited for her bath, she's getting excited for 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep, and she just goes crazy for about an hour before it's bedtime. This is a typical Livy-mood right before dinner.

Livy's New Ride
I am so happy. I have been waiting for this day for waaay too long. The day I got pregnant I looked forward to the day when I could go on a nice morning run with my baby. Then I decided to run a marathon--so that little stroller is going to get a LOT of use! So I decided to go big. The BOB stroller is not a cheap little thing. So 3 birthday checks, a week of babysitting a 5 year old and 2 year old, and waiting for the Anniversary sale at REI...I finally got my stroller!!! I am so excited. They recommend waiting until your baby is about 8 months old to use it for running, so the timing is perfect. (Especially since my baby is the size of a 12 month old.) We had our inaugural ride this afternoon, and Livy loved it! It might seem crazy, but she's never sat in a stroller that faces forward! So it was a big day.

Tim & Jen Cavanaugh
The end of April we flew out to Utah for a fun little family reunion and 'The Week of Jen'. Livy got to meet her cousin Kenna and Aunt Shanna, and all the cousins got lots of good playing time.
On Wednesday night we threw Jen a Bridal Shower. With lots of yummy food and great company. On Thursday Jen went through the temple for the first time, and we all were there together - all five kids, a few of the spouses and our mom and dad. It was an amazing thing.
Then on Thursday and Friday, Jen graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from BYU! Yay Jen!
Then Saturday, was the big day!! Little miss Jenny Farnsworth, became Jennifer Cavanaugh. It was such a beautiful and perfect day. Ryan flew in that morning, just in time to get all dolled up and head to the temple. The ceremony was perfect. Jen looked absolutely stunning.
We had a wonderful luncheon, and then an even better reception. It was a perfect day, and so fun to be with everyone. Next time we're all together, hopefully it won't be so stressful!!
Then Jen surprised me and my sister Melissa with our own 'Daddy-Daughter Dance' since we never got one. It was so nice. My dad has great moves! It was such a tender moment - it made me so happy, and was so memorable. Thanks Jenny - Love you Daddy!
Now...my silly baby...

You Did What!?
Yes. This is what you all will think when I tell you what we've done.
Ryan and I registered for the St. George Marathon...and we got in! Ah! I told you... "You did what!?" At least I think that to myself about every hour of every day. The training begins. I am excited though! Minnesota has so many beautiful trails up and down and all around the whole stinkin' town! The trails are away from the road so I don't have to be paranoid about some stray car coming for me and babes in her stroller. All of the trails are surrounded by trees and lakes, and it's going to be a perfect place to run my little heart out!
I figure that as long as I finish I'll be happy! We also get to make a trip back to Utah and see our family, that's always a plus. Let us all just pray that my body will let me do this. Bring it on marathon. I'm going to own you!!

7 Months
Olivia Jean is 7 months old today. She has grown by leaps and bounds this last month. She has learned how to sit up all by herself. She'll eventually fall over, so we always make sure she's sitting with a clear 3 foot radius around her. She has become a very good eater. At her 6 month appointment she had not yet had much success with eating solids. But since that day she eats oatmeal cereal with some fruit for breakfast and a container of peas, carrots or green beans for dinner and maybe some pears, apples or bananas if she eats most of her veggies. She goes to bed around 7 pm and wakes up sometime between 6:30 and 7 am, will eat and sleep again until 9 am. She's still taking 3 naps a day. She is a gem. She is usually always happy, unless she's hungry.
Our little monthly photo shoot is getting a bit more difficult. As soon as she sees that sign, the only thing going on in her mind is "Grab the sign. Squeeze the sign. Eat the sign. Don't let mommy see the sign." I literally took 52 pictures...these are the only 3 that turned out, and the first one was the only one where she is looking at me and you can see the sign at the same time.
Livy LOVES to stare at people. I know I've said this before, but seriously, she loves going to the store, to church, and anywhere with lots of people so she can just watch them. Then, because she's staring at them with those big eyes, they have to say something - how could they not say something. She makes me laugh so much. She is going to be quite the character. She has become very good at grabbing things. If there is anything in her reach, she will grab it. After knocking something out of her reach, she will look around to see what else she can grab. She loves to squeal and scream, usually in the evening - I think she's getting it all out of her system.
