Second Annual River Float

Back on my list of things to do this summer there are a few yet to be completed, but two of them I crossed off this Saturday. We tubed the Provo River with the Perdues, and had s'mores!
Tubing the river isn't for everyone, but for those of us who enjoy a little adventure + relaxation, it's great! I was the only unfortunate one to fall in and experience the shockingly refreshing water, but thankfully Ry grabbed my shoes before they floated away!

Then as far as s'mores go, 4 words, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. It will make your s'more experience that much better.

What Now?

Well we've graduated, so what's next? Over the last year, our plans have changed several times, and we are excited to say that we actually know what we'll be doing for the next few years. Ryan has actually decided to stay with the company he's been working for since January, called Qualtrics. It's an awesome and growing survey software company. Ry loves the guys he works with, he loves what he does, and he does well at it too!

So that means we're actually staying here in Provo! Not Salt Lake City, not St. George, not San Diego and anywhere else we thought we may have been going. But we're excited. We're looking forward staying close to our friends and family. And now we're on the hunt to find a place of our own! Wish us luck, we're excited!

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Neville

The gorgeous bride, Jane Anne (Ry's sister) and handsome groom, Colby, were married yesterday, and everything went so smoothly and beautifully. The sealing ceremony was so wonderful. I don't know if I have ever seen Jane Anne looking so beautiful and so happy. She could not get that big smile off of her face and I loved it. It was a rainy morning, but they lucked out with a cool and sunny August afternoon and evening.

There was a yummy ice cream buffet with a wide array of toppings and crunchy waffle cones at the reception. The flowers, the decorations and all the smiles made for such a pleasant evening with family and friends. Congratulations Jane Anne and Colby, we love you!

BYU Alum

We did it! Finally finished, and we did it together. It wasn't easy, and time didn't go by quickly, but we survived. We are officially Alumni of Brigham Young University, and we couldn't be happier. The Commencement yesterday and the Convocation today were both wonderful and we are so grateful that we took advantage of the opportunity to walk at graduation and be recognized for all of our hard work. We couldn't have done it with the never ending support of our parents and family members. We love you, thank you!

There were some mighty big smiles today. We have been looking forward to graduation for quite some time. We've loved our time at BYU, but we are so ready to move on in so many ways.

How picturesque is this? I think this should be the cover of some magazine or something.

I will never be able to think of my college education without thinking of the Bookstore. With my 4 years at BYU I spent almost every week day working at the Bookstore. I am so thankful I had a job while I was a student because it taught me the importance of being independent and managing my time wisely. Of course I learned the importance of customer service, punctuality, and responsibility. Thank you Bookstore!

I also want to thank the love of my life. I'm so proud of you. Thank you so much for being my biggest supporter through all of the long nights, early mornings, and all of the frustrations and good memories. I love you!

Mountains at Moonlight

Ever since I heard about it I've been wanting to go so badly. So 18 months later, I actually wrote it in my calendar so that I wouldn't forget, because it's only two days a month, for 5 months of the year. Sundance takes advantage of the full moon and lets people ride up on the ski lift to enjoy the beautiful mountains and scenery at moonlight. It was so beautiful. We loved it. (Next time take a big warm blanket and wear socks, and no flip flops.) We had some great company, with Ry's brother Rob and his wife Julie, as well as Ry's sister Jane Anne and Colby, her soon-to-be husband in 5 days!

The Ending of an Era

Today was my last day at the Bookstore.

6 weeks after I graduated from High School on July 17, 2005 I had my first day at the Bookstore. 3 different positions, 3 hectic Education Weeks, 4 crazy Women Conferences, and 4 years later I actually am no longer an employee. Weird. The Bookstore has been, in a way, my home away from home. When I got engaged, when my parents left on their mission, when I got married, when I got a puppy, when I got accepted into the Business program, and when I applied for graduation, my friends at the Bookstore were my greatest supporters and best friends.

I love the Bookstore and always will :)
