10 Months

10 montheroos. The last month has been a lot of mommy-Livy time. We've been getting settled into our new home here in Provo, and she has been the biggest trooper. She has had a lot of fun spending more time with her grandparents and aunts and uncles.
  • Livy had her first ponytail!!
  • Olivia is still sleeping about 12 hours a night (7am-7pm). She has also gone from 3 naps to 2. Usually from 9:30-11 and 1-3. Livy will often lay in her crib, play with her blankies and kick her feet. She may not always sleep a long time, but she loves her alone time.
  • Livy loves to sleep. As I calm her down and sing to her, she knows it time to sleep, so she kicks her feet with excitement. She always has her binky and 2 blankets.
  • Livy is also very good at playing with toys by herself. After a nap or after she has eaten is when she is most happy just playing with her tub of toys. But after 4:30 or so, Livy gets kind of ornery, we call it the "witching hour", but it's really 2 hours until she can take her bath and get ready for bed.
  • She is eating very well. For breakfast she'll eat her oatmeal cereal with bananas. Lunch will be some bread and a bit of whatever mommy is eating. Then for dinner she'll eat a pureed baby food of veggies, and fruit, some bread, then some fresh peaches or watermelon.
  • She still only has her 2 bottom teeth, but she is still constantly chewing on everything, drooling like crazy, and I have a feeling some more little teeth are on their way!
  • Livy still loves her morning run with mommy in her stroller. Every Saturday she gets to have her grandparents watch her for a few hours while her mommy and daddy do their long run (this Saturday is 16!).
  • Livy is still not very mobile. She can roll herself across the room, she can go from sitting and lean forward onto her hands, but she hasn't figured out how to hold herself up on her knees.
  • I am getting excited for her to move around herself, so that I don't have to carry her everywhere.
  • She is quite the chatterbox. She is always squealing, blowing her lips, making funny other noises and my favorite - her little giggle.
  • Livy is a very happy baby. We love you more and more each day.

This is when those of us who have been there say, "Be careful for what you wish for." You really want her to get around by herself? Oh yeah. You are training for a marathon. You can do it. Never mind.
