Ice Dancing

First of all, since when is figure skating, ice dancing? Are they the same thing? Or is there a difference between a figure skater and ice dancer? Anyway, yesterday we were watching some ice dancing, apparently. The second it turned the TV on Livy was fascinated. She absolutely loved it. She literally did not take her eyes off of it for about 20 minutes. I was able to catch a video of Livy dancing along with them. I was dying laughing. She's been doing these dance moves a lot lately, who knows where she got them. It gets me every time.

Brian Regan

Way back in September my sister told me that Brian Regan was coming to Utah and he tickets were going on sale. The day they went on sale, the best seats I got were 30 rows back for Saturday night. These crazy Utah Mormons just can't resist a clean comedian. Like Brian said himself (yes, we're on a first name basis), "I've been here two weeks, Utah must be really hungry for some comedy. What's the deal? What's wrong?" Then some lady decided it was a good idea to just yell it," We just LOVE you!". Anyway! I bought the tickets in September, somehow kept the secret until Ryan's birthday in November, and the show was last night - talk about building up the anticipation.
His show was seriously hilarious. The guy who opened for him, Joe Bolster, also was so funny. It's was a good 90 minutes of pure laughter. If you've never heard of Brian Regan, you should google him right now and watch a snipit of his show, then watch it again and it'll be even funnier the second time. It was a fun date. I would love to go again someday. We will never think of "cupboards", "having one free kill", "dancing", and "a doctors appointment", the same ever again.

The Jazzy Jazz

Somehow this last week we got really lucky...twice. Tuesday afternoon we found out that Ryan's dad was given some tickets to the Jazz vs. Clippers came, but he couldn't go, so we gladly accepted! It included a nice dinner before the game at Legends, as well as some desserts at half time. We sat with his P.A. Drew and his wife. It was a great game, we won by 30 points, and the Jazz were dunking all over the place.

Then on Friday at work, one of Ryan's coworkers was given some tickets, and because Ryan is such a big Jazz fan he invited us to come along! This time our spoilage went up a factor and we got to eat upstairs in the 100 Club. It was fabulous. We were there early enough to beat the traffic, enjoy our dinner/dessert, and be down by the court to watch the teams warm up. We found it slightly ironic to be the Jazz vs. Minnesota Timberwolves. It was a very close game, but the Jazz pulled through in the end. It was beyond words fun.

We enjoyed every minute we could because I don't think this will ever happen to us again. I think we used all of our luck in one week. If anyone has tickets that they want to get off of their hands, we're more than willing to go! :) Thank heavens for Livy's grandmas to step in and help out last minute, we love you!

Japanese Grill

For Josh's report card dinner he wanted to go to Tepanyaki. We were really excited to go because Livy loves looking at fire. She was so enthralled by all of the noise, movement and flames! It was such a fun night. The food was absolutely delicious. We can't wait to go again someday!

The Livster

Can I just say how much fun we're having with this little girl. She has the funniest personality. She always wants to play, always wants to laugh, and is always being silly. Her new favorite thing to do with her daddy is try and fit as many toys as possible into his mouth. She's never even tried it with me, maybe she knows how much bigger his mouth is than mine, who knows!?
Once again, just a few minutes before church, Livy was in such a deep sleep that I had to literally yell her name and shake her to wake her up. Yes, she does still slightly sleep with her eyes open. And she now has 3 blankies instead of just 2.
We've enjoyed going to several BYU Basketball games, Livy is getting very good as cheering them on, watching the dancers, and always pointing out Cosmo. We recently got the BYU Magazine, and on the front cover is a picture of Cosmo. We have it in the car, and she wants to hold it the whole time we drive anywhere.
Livy also does the funniest thing now with her blanket. I let her often carry it around the house, mostly just to keep her happy. But she has found a very convenient way to carry it so that she doesn't trip on it when she walks. She throws it over her shoulder and carries it with her left hand. It's always the left shoulder. I need to get a video of her doing it, it gets me every time. Not the best picture, but it captures the idea.
This picture is also a little blurry, but Livy loves me coat. If she sees is she whines until I give it to her. She loves to pretend to put it on. She loves to hide under the hood, put the fur against her face, and wrap it around her like her own coat. So much personality in this one. She definitely keeps us laughing.

Beach Family Pics

While we were in San Diego for Christmas we took advantage of being all together and got some great family pictures on the beach. Livy wasn't a big fan of the sand, so we were grateful for at least a few pictures of her not crying. The pictures turned out so great. It was a beautiful day, no wind, and a perfect day for pictures.

15 months

Our little Livster is already 15 months old. She is walking and getting faster and more confident every day. She is quite the talker. She is communicating so well, if she can't say what she wants, she is very good at pointing, making eye contact, and saying "aba-daba-da!". She can say: cheese, please, keys, Jesus, "baba" (bottle), "da" (all done), and "C" (Sarge).
She loves to giggle and laugh. We have many tickle fights. Except when I tickle her, she starts tickling herself, it's the funniest thing ever.
Livy loves to line little figurines and little people up. She likes to take them from one piece of furniture to another. She likes to always be holding one in each hand.
Livy now likes to eat with a fork. She often will still take it off the fork and eat with her hands, but she is getting very good at stabbing her food.
She has the cutest curly hair. It's getting pretty long, and the curls are just getting that much cuter. she has pigtails a lot because her hair doesn't look as frizzy and crazy.
Livy has also been sick quite a few times the last few months, but hopefully that just means it's building her immune system and she won't be as sick when she's older! We're hoping.
We are having too much fun with this little girl. That's just the thing, she is such a little girl, she is my little buddy. She is great running errands with me, as long as I have lots of food and snacks. Trying to get her to stay still is nearly impossible. Now that she knows she can walk, so wants to go go go. She's just keeping us on our toes!
