Park Picnic

Summer is going by way too fast. So we decided to take advantage - we went to a park, ate a yummy picnic dinner, and played with Livy. These pictures really do say 1,000 words.
Possibly one of my all-time favorite pictures of Livy:

10 Months

10 montheroos. The last month has been a lot of mommy-Livy time. We've been getting settled into our new home here in Provo, and she has been the biggest trooper. She has had a lot of fun spending more time with her grandparents and aunts and uncles.
  • Livy had her first ponytail!!
  • Olivia is still sleeping about 12 hours a night (7am-7pm). She has also gone from 3 naps to 2. Usually from 9:30-11 and 1-3. Livy will often lay in her crib, play with her blankies and kick her feet. She may not always sleep a long time, but she loves her alone time.
  • Livy loves to sleep. As I calm her down and sing to her, she knows it time to sleep, so she kicks her feet with excitement. She always has her binky and 2 blankets.
  • Livy is also very good at playing with toys by herself. After a nap or after she has eaten is when she is most happy just playing with her tub of toys. But after 4:30 or so, Livy gets kind of ornery, we call it the "witching hour", but it's really 2 hours until she can take her bath and get ready for bed.
  • She is eating very well. For breakfast she'll eat her oatmeal cereal with bananas. Lunch will be some bread and a bit of whatever mommy is eating. Then for dinner she'll eat a pureed baby food of veggies, and fruit, some bread, then some fresh peaches or watermelon.
  • She still only has her 2 bottom teeth, but she is still constantly chewing on everything, drooling like crazy, and I have a feeling some more little teeth are on their way!
  • Livy still loves her morning run with mommy in her stroller. Every Saturday she gets to have her grandparents watch her for a few hours while her mommy and daddy do their long run (this Saturday is 16!).
  • Livy is still not very mobile. She can roll herself across the room, she can go from sitting and lean forward onto her hands, but she hasn't figured out how to hold herself up on her knees.
  • I am getting excited for her to move around herself, so that I don't have to carry her everywhere.
  • She is quite the chatterbox. She is always squealing, blowing her lips, making funny other noises and my favorite - her little giggle.
  • Livy is a very happy baby. We love you more and more each day.

The BE: Part 2

A few months ago we bought Livy her 'Baby Einstein' bouncers, which we call "The BE", which I posted about here. Well, I got a video of how much Livy is enjoying it these days. Enjoy.

i heart Tim

My husband loves me. I have been wanting to go see Tim (aka Tim McGraw) ever since I went with my friends my Junior year in High School. Last week my sister asked if I wanted to go, but the tickets she was going to buy from a friend were already given away by the time she got a hold of him. After a rough morning Thursday, Ryan came home with two Tim tickets in hand. So happy. So happy. So happy.

Friday afternoon I made some cheesy little 'i <3 Tim' t-shirts. My sister Jen is married to a Tim, so she can wear hers all the time :)
We drove up to the USANA Amphitheater in Kearns, and it took us 1 hour to go 3 miles... but we made it! We missed the group Perry - "If I die young", but we did catch the last few songs of Luke Bryan - "Do I". But, most importantly we saw every single moment of Tim on stage. It was a beautiful night. Perfect weather. Great company. Wonderful entertainment. And exactly what a busy little mommy needed after a crazy summer. I have the best hubby in the world.

The Blankies

It was nap time. There was one exhausted baby. A baby rubbing her eyes, rubbing her ears, and yawning. BUT...2 hours earlier mommy found a very dirty crib from a very dirty explosive diaper. Mommy had to put everything in the washing machine - the crib sheet, pj's, and the two fuzzy blankies.

When it was baby's nap time, mommy put baby down just like normal, but grabbed two other blankets near by. Usually - there's no cries, and baby goes right to sleep. But this time, there were lots of cries, lots and lots of cries. Mommy comforted her baby, tried to put her back down for a nap, but baby wasn't having it. Daddy tried to comfort baby, baby was still very upset.

Mommy had a realization. Her blankies. She needs her blankies. Straight from the dryer, still a little damp, but baby didn't care. She was so happy to have her blankies and went right to sleep.

Mommy and daddy have reached a point of no return. This baby is attached to these blankies, these specific blankies - one pink and leopard, the other white and yellow; both fuzzy, soft, and cuddly.

Up a Size

Today I bought size 4 diapers for Livy. My little baby isn't a little baby anymore. I have a feeling she'll be in size 4 for quite some time. At least I hope she will be.

Livy Lately

We've just been hanging out. Nothing too exciting here. Just wearing grandpa's famous hat.
 Wearing her swim hat.
 Playing with her toys.
 And swimming with mama.
We're loving summer, and lots of time with family. We're excited to have Auntie Jen back in Provo!
