Date Night

We have been taking full advantage of our awesome babysitters lately. Qualtrics had Journey come as part of their annual "Summit", it was awesome. The main singer as been replaced by some Asian dude, but he sounded exactly awesome, and I was surprised how many of the songs I knew! It was such a fun show.

Every year Ryan's dad gets these awesome Jazz tickets from someone that he works with, it was the only Jazz game I went to this  year, but definitely a good one, on the 2nd row! It's a whole new game when you are that close and see how huge those guys are!! Such a fun night though.

Da-da!

We have an alarm system on our home, and when one of the doors open each door makes it's own unique chime. Whenever the garage door opens the girls scream, "Da da!!" and run to greet him, they are sorely disappointed when it's just me grabbing something from the garage. But these girls adore their dad. They always want to play with him the moment he walks in the door. Livy always wants to show him something (her coloring page, what we made that day, her room, her hair, her outfit, what she's wearing, etc.) and Penny always wants him to chase her. I love these moments when we can just play and be happy.

Sisters

These girls. Some times they just scream, and scratch, and bite and hit, and push, but other times they do this....

I know that some day they will be best of friends. I know how much I love my sisters, and I know these girls will always cherish each other as much as they hate each other.

Singing "Let it Go", it doesn't get much cuter. Livy is the voice, and Penny just loves to dance and sing "Goooo, gooooo..." over and over again. There are a few minutes a day when they do get along, and play, and laugh, and I need to remember those precious moments.

Sunday best doesn't get much cuter.

Because who doesn't want to wake up to these faces. I just want to squeeze and kiss them!

Grammy Sue and Grampa

How lucky are we? I can't even begin to describe how lucky my girls are to have their grandparents so close. I love the relationship that they have with both sets of grandparents. There is just so much love. I hope they always have this, and they will always know how much they are loved and how many people care for them. This was one Sunday night after dinner, the girls went and got a few books and insisted on Grammy and Grampa read their books to them. It was the sweetest thing. It just feels my heart and soul full of so much happiness.

The Poulsen Pot

We love having friends to dinner, and so do the Poulsens, so we are always inviting each other over to dinner. In this case, we got invited to the Poulsen Pot for Valentines Day. It was such a fun a memorable night. Kate, Meg, Hank and Ruby, answered the door and told us to take a seat until our table was ready ;) Then we ate the most delicious meal just like the Melting Pot. We have our own veggies and bread in a cheese sauce. Then we had shrimp, chicken and steak in a broth. And ended with a finger-licking chocolate peanut butter dip with fruit, pretzels and cake. Such a great night with our favorite people.

Sweet Penny

Oh Sweet Penny. She is just her own little person. She is just going to do her own thing, whether you want her to or not, she will do what she wants. She just cracks me up. She loves to watch "shows". "A show? Mama, show? Show. Show..." She also has a few articles of clothing that she INSISTS on wearing. The first one is Livy's fur vest. People probably think I'm trying way too hard putting my 1 year old in a  big ole' fur vest. But she just loves it. The other is a leopard cardigan. She always wants to wear her "coat".

She loves to try on other peoples shoes. She loves to take all of mine out of the closet, and then try to put them on my feet while I'm getting ready in the morning.

Penny saw that Livy and Sophie were dressing up, so she took me to her closet and pointed to her tiny little size 12 Months Snow White dress from Halloween that she was even to big to wear then. But she insisted! So we put it on so she could play with the girls.

The pigtails. I just can't even handle it. I just love the piggies.

Ever since she started walking and figured out she could access the pantry, it's been bad news. She just tries to climb and help herself to whatever she wants. Trouble, nothing but trouble.

Two of the same picture, because this is one of her favorite positions to sleep and it makes me laugh every time. Who knows how she can breathe, but it's adorable and hilarious every time.

I just love those baby kisses. I can't get enough, and will always try to get as many as possible.

Because baby selfies are always a good idea.

Traycen

This picture makes me so happy. Livy made a very special friend this year at preschool. They sit next to each other on the "yellow line", and so they have lots of time to chat. Their teacher said that they are just the best of friends. Livy started talking about him all of the time, and would blush if we brought up his name. He is the cutest little boy. A little chubby, with big old cheeks and long curly blonde hair. He is adorable. And one day Livy drew this picture of Traycen, holding a  yellow daffodil that he was going to give to Livy. It was so stinking cute. I took a picture of it, because she wanted me to deliver it to Traycen the next day at preschool. This girl is so funny. She has so much personality. She will always keep our hands fun, but I love it. His mom is also Noelle Pikus-Pace a silver olympic medalist in skeleton. She is the nicest person and so sweet. He comes from a great family, so I'm more than okay if they get married, because Livy asks all of the time if they will get married some day. I love it all.
