During Ragnar

The main purpose for our family reunion was most of the family running in the Ragnar Relay. The runners included, Ryan G., Mel, Ryan F., Ryan J., David and Tim, then Jen was their driver. So they got ready and left Friday afternoon and were gone for about 36 hours. So Shanna, Crissi, me and my mom hung out with all of the kiddos, trying to keep them and ourselves entertained. So we headed down to Riverwoods for some splash pad time, the Provo Beach Resort and then a quick and easy dinner at Marley's. The girls loved the splash pad...for about 10 minutes, then they said they were too cold.

So we got them all changed, and boy was the carousel in the PBR a hit. They we played a bunch of games, and got a bunch of tickets so they all got to pick out some fun prizes and toys.

Jen's Baby Shower

About a month ago my sister Melissa was in town so we started to plan Jen's shower. I had a whole lot of time to prepare, and I may have gone a bit overboard, but I had the time to do it and I loved doing it. We did a "sport-themed" shower. We had a "Snack Bar" station, which was meant to provide a bag that they could stuff and take home as a "thank you". We had swedish fish, sour patch kids, peanut M&Ms and Red Vines.

Then for the food buffet, we had Cracker Jack's, popcorn, chocolate basketball cupcakes, Oreo baseball bon-bons, pretzels, hot dogs with J dawg sauce, and a fruit ball salad (we used a melon baller for watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, and then some grapes).

I found these paper lanterns online for about $11 for all 4 of them at www.lunabazaar.com. Then I just cut out felt and glued on the pieces. I know the basketball needs a little help, but it got the job done.

It all turned out pretty cute. For the table cloth I just bought a cheap plastic tablecloth, then I used my cricut to cut out the numbers and just taped them on.

Just a few of the fun gifts that this little lady got from our sweet family.

We also did a group gift (which was mostly my mom), and got Jen something she wanted but wasn't going to get herself, a new Bob stroller. Mel and I swear by it. It's the best.

It was so fun to celebrate this sweet baby with Jen. Here we are at 30 weeks and 26 weeks. Next time we're together we're going to each have little babies!!

Farnsworth Family Reunion

For the first time in over 18 months my whole family finally all got together! I've been looking forward to it for so so long. We had our very first visitors stay in our house, the Grows, and Livy loved waking up to her cousin Lucy each morning. We spent a few mornings at the park and let the 7 kids ages 4 and under run wild. We had perfect weather, and all the kids got along so well...most of the time.

Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day this year, Livy was really excited to help out and make it special for her daddy. A couple of weeks ago she "helped" me put a book together of a bunch of the pictures of them two from this last year. The book was called "Daddy and Me - Volume 2", since we did the same thing last year. In the book it listed reasons why she loves her dad. I think it was safe to say that he liked it.

We also got him a nice Nike Golf polo, which have been his favorite lately, so we're grateful for the new Nike Outlet so close! We then enjoyed a yummy french toast breakfast and headed to Stake Conference where we got to here Mimi and Grandpa speak! Livy was pretty excited to see them at our church, and get the opportunity to hear their wonderful testimonies.

I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband. He is so kind and thoughtful. He works so hard to support our family. He is a righteous priesthood holder and faithful and diligent member of the church who is always willing to serve. He likes to have fun, but also enjoys the relaxing nights at home watching HGTV and the Food Network with me. I am so grateful to have him as the father to my children. They are so lucky to have a dad who cares so much for them and loves them. I love you honey, you're the man of my dreams.

I am also so grateful for my dad. He has always been such a diligent example of always doing what's right. He exemplifies obedience. He has made such a huge influence in so many lives, especially the lucky missionaries who were able to call him President. I love watching him with Livy. They have such a special relationship, and we're so lucky to live so close and see them so often. I love you dad, I couldn't have asked for a better daddy.

Ryan's Utah Valley Half Marathon

Ryan has been training for this half marathon and couldn't believe the day it actually came he had to wake up at 3:00 am because that race started at 6:00 am! That is one early race. It was actually pretty tough because he was in Texas for work the week before, and then he had some little stomach bug. So he didn't really have a whole bunch of energy to start with. But he did great!! We were so glad that we got to go down and watch him cross the finish line! We're so proud of you!!

Zoo with the Wrights

Some of our best friends we made in our short time in Minnesota were here visiting. Well Rachel brought the kids, so I was able to meet up with her and spend the morning at the Hogle Zoo. We got there right when it opened at 9:00, but it was already in the 80's, so needless to say this pregnant lady had her fill of the zoo for the summer. A lot of walking, and pushing a stroller in the hot sun, probably won't happen again anytime soon.

Livy and Corbin were so cute together. They were sharing their snacks, climbing and walking around together, Corbin even tried to grab her hand a few times. It was so fun to watch them play. I absolutely loved catching up with Rachel too. They are actually headed to Barcelona this Fall for Brandon to get his MBA. So it was fun to hear about all of their preparations and the adventures to come!

We had a great time, and are hoping that the Wrights end up somewhere close to us some day!!
