Yesterday we went to the Provo Library for Story Time. It was so much fun for the kiddos. My mom came, as well as my sister-in-law Crissi with her two girls. They sang and danced, and read a fun story. It was only 20 minutes, but some of the best 20 minutes I've had all week.

Then we joined for lunch by my brother and sister, David and Jen, as well as Ryan. We had Costa Vida 'to go', and ate at a park near-by. It was a beautiful day and a perfect afternoon.

Big Owie

Nightmare come true. Our poor little Livy fell face-first out of her crib. We usually give her a few minutes in the morning once she's woken up to kind of talk to herself. But the other morning, we heard a loud bang noise followed by an even louder scream and cry. I noticed later that her owie was a perfect round circle. So I went back and looked in her room and one of my bracelets was on the floor. She must have been reaching towards, and it must have broken her fall. The bruising is starting to spread. This poor girl. It's a good thing she was her old self soon after. The crib on the other hand is our new challenge...

Swiss Days

For those of you who don't read my other blog, I just got accepted as a vendor for the Midway Swiss Days! Words can't not describe how I'm feeling...but here are a few: excited, scared, anxious, nervous, thrilled, overwhelmed, etc.

Am I crazy for doing this!? This is the craft fair of all craft fairs. There's about 180 vendors, and they anticipate anywhere from 18,000 to 20,000 people in attendance. It's absurd. I applied because I didn't want to regret not trying...and then surprisingly I got accepted! Now I have to contemplate if this is really feasible or not. When there's a will, I'm sure...some how...there is a way. I have a few weeks to decide for sure. Wish me luck! Am I crazy? Yes, I think very much so. Hopefully people will like my little boots!

Perdue Baby Shower

Yesterday I threw a baby shower for Brittany, with the help of one of her friends and Jen. I've forgotten how much I enjoy planning for a party, decorating, hosting and throwing a party. We had sweet rolls, muffins, fruit and Jen's yummy 'frog-eye' salad.
Diaper cake/centerpiece, and thank you cards for the mommy-to-be,
Party favors, bags of white chocolate popcorn, "Ready to POP!",

The lovely Brittany and me.

I was so glad that I was able to do this for Britt. We were in the same ward when we were both just married, about 5 years ago. We have stayed really good friends ever since. We have done lots of fun things together, I have loved getting to know her, she has made a huge impact in my life and the person I've become, and I can't wait to see her become a mommy and watch her little boy grow. We already had to say goodbye last year when we went to Minnesota, and I'm so sad to say she's moving to back to San Diego in June. I guess just more the reason to go to Cali for vacation! Love you Britt! Can't wait to meet baby boy Perdue!

My New Life

I discovered a new life this past week. You often see mom's with their kids at the park. But this is undiscovered territory for me. If you go to a park without kids, you're defined as 'a creeper'. And now that I have a little toddler that can at least walk around, swing some, and can almost go down a slide by herself, the park means something new to me. The park is an excuse to be outside, get some vitamin D, soak up some sun. The park is an excuse to get some fresh air. The park is the chance you have to see your little one get sooo excited over the smallest things, a chance to have fun together, a chance to fall and kiss your boo-boo's better. It's the best time of day to let all that built up energy just flow from their fingertips and toes. It's a great way to socialize, meet new people, make new friends. It's rejuvenating. I can't get enough of it. I think we just might go every single day as long as the weather is nice.

Photo Shoot

The other day I got a big white sheet out, draped it over the couch, and got on the floor to take some pictures for my etsy shop. Livy thought it looked like a fun place to hang out. So she grabbed her veggie sticks, her book, and decided to come sit and eat her snack. I love having a little buddy. She is understanding so much, talking so much, and I am loving the communication!

St. Patrick's Day

Our St. Patty's Day this year was very merry, bright, and green. I went to lunch with one of my besties, Brittany Perdue - soon to be mommy!!! We had a wonderful "catch-up" date at Zupas. Can't wait for her baby shower this Saturday, yay!

Then we had fun making our green feast! It was very similar to what we did last year, but whatever is broken doesn't need to be fixed! To check out our very delicious and very green dinner go here. Livy loved the green bread.
 I couldn't resist...
Wearing her lucky green beads that her Grammy F gave her.
Being the silly girl that we know and love.
