Jace Ryan Farnsworth

I just wanted to welcome my new little nephew, Jace Ryan Farnsworth, to this wonderful world. He was born March 6th in NYC. Mommy, baby, daddy, and big sister are all doing well. Jace has been a great baby and is enjoying his first of many NCAA March Madness Tournaments. Can't wait to meet him. The first Farnsworth grandson, since my dad had 8 sisters and no brothers, we're so happy to know that the name will go on!!!

Weekend at Grammy's

Ryan went out of town this week for work, and so instead of being home alone, Livy and I decided to go stay with Grammy and Grandpa for a few days. We watched movies with cousins and grandpa, played with Uncle Tim and Auntie Jen, read stories with Grammy and played with animals. We had a good time. It's always fun to be with family.

My Mommy Got A New Camera...

My mommy is pretty excited about her new camera. She was so excited that she pretty much documented my entire day. She still has lots to learn. She took some good pictures, but hopefully they'll get that much better. First I played on the trampoline with dad...
Then I jumped on the tramp with mommy...

Enjoyed being outside...
Explored the yard in my new Nike's...
Went on the swing with dad...
Had a snack. Fed myself and fed Sarge...
Took a nice warm bath...
And wanted to go downstairs to help daddy get my 'baba'....
I can't believe my mommy just sat there and took pictures while I cried. I guess that's life.

Go Cougars!!

This might be my most favorite thing that Livy does to date. She has figured out how to say, "Go Cougars!"

We were able to take Livy to quite a few BYU basketball games this seasons. She is obsessed with Cosmo. And for quite some time, if she saw that BYU logo, whether it was just the "Y" or "BYU" or even "Brigham Young University" on a piece of paper or on a flag or on a piece of clothing or wherever she would always point and growl.

But now she has associated all of those things to saying "Go Cougars!" Ryan walked in from work the other day wearing a BYU sweatshirt and she stopped in mid-step, pointed to him and said very excitedly "Go Cougars!" and started clapping. She is a riot. I'm so happy to see her cheering them on already. Let the brainwashing begin.

Mommy-Daughter Trip

When I heard that Ryan was going on a business trip, and I had a voucher for Southwest that was soon expiring, I decided to take a last minute trip to San Deigo to visit my sister Melissa. Her little girl Lucy, is only 5 week younger than Livy, so I was also very excited to see them play and become good friends. It was such a good few days. We flew out Sunday afternoon, and came home Wednesday afternoon. There was a lot of hanging out, chill-axin', and laughing at our silly girls.

Melissa has a season pass to the San Diego Zoo, so we went to the Safari Park on Monday morning when there are a 60% chance of rain that day. We went right when they opened, and saw about 22 people there. It was so nice to feel like we had the park to ourselves! Livy loved seeing the gorillas, the monkey's ("ooo-aaa" - she's very good at her monkey noises), the lions, giraffes and many many more animals. I loved the ride around the park where you can see hundreds of animals in a very real life setting. We seemed to be keeping our girls entertained more than enjoying the animals, but it was fun nonetheless.

We went home for some quality nap-time, I think babies and mommy's took at least a 2 hour nap. Then we went to Target before the rains came down. We had a blast playing in the dollar section, and so did the girls.

Tuesday we woke up and went to Mel's "Step" class at the gym - Killer! I had to leave after a while because the girls weren't very happy in Kids Club. We went home and made some super cute ice cream cone cupcakes for a cake auction in Mel's ward.

Wednesday morning we went out to breakfast at the most delicious little place on the PCH near Oceanside. We went for a little stroll on the beach, taking in all of the fresh ocean air. Then we made our way to the airport for our trip home. Livy was a trooper with all of the traveling. She really was so good. Especially being with just boring old mom. She is my little buddy. I loved traveling with her. We loved seeing family, and can't wait to see them again soon!!

That Moment When...

You're on your way to the airport. Your baby won't stop crying. You know that she's tired. You know that if she doesn't sleep now she's not going to get any sleep until she goes to bed tonight. You're giving her fishies, cherrios, your water bottle, your wallet, jelly beans, your sunglasses, anything you can to make her happy and stop her from crying. Then finally it stops....She finally stop crying. Ahhh... Then you turn around and she looks like this...hahaha.
