Withdrawls

Today I am missing these faces. We love you and miss you Wrights and Harrisons.

I miss watching BYU games. I miss eating yummy food in great company. I miss our "crafter-noons". I miss using pack-n-plays so we could play Settlers for hours. I miss my Minnesota friends.

Love you guys! Hopefully we'll see you at Christmas!!

My Little Chick-idy

This year for Halloween Livy was a chicken. She was the cutest chicken I've ever seen. I think she really did like the feathers. At first she just kept spitting and blowing, but after awhile she would just put her face in them and giggle.
I crocheted her little hat, basted on the little red toggle thingy.
Her body was a onesie full of cotton quilt batting, and a few pinned on feather boas.
Complete with some yellow tights and little yellow chick feet - from some felt and a little bit of Velcro. Livy with her Auntie Jen at Dada's work party lunch.

Livy with her friend Tate Durrant (aka Pooh Bear).

And Sarrrrge (get it...."arrrr", like what a pirate says...) wanted to be a pirate!! He had a little hat too.
It was a great Halloween!

Halloween Half Marathon

Call us crazy, but yesterday we ran the Halloween Half Marathon!! The day of the marathon we decided we don't want to run a marathon for awhile, but we definitely wanted to do a half marathon. So we signed up for the Halloween Half. My sister Jen wanted to do it too, so we dressed up all together as the....
POTATO HEAD FAMILY!!!
It was the perfect functional costume. We had a blast! It really was such a fun race. Forget that it took hours to pick up our packets... and it may have been the funnest race ever. We also ran with my friend Brittany and her sister Kelsey, they were cute little pumpkins. We waited outside for a bus at 6:30 am for about an hour - fa-reezing! We got up to Aspen Grove just in time to wait in another line for a quick potty break, and went straight to the START line. We finally got passed the line after 8 minutes. We took advantage of the steep downgrade and let our little legs carry us down passed Sundance and down the canyon.

It was so nice for Ryan and I to run a route that we have run dozens of times the last few months. I was feeling really great, but at mile 10 I just couldn't take it anymore, I had to go to the bathroom. So everyone went ahead, while I waited in the dumb line for the Honey Bucket. I stepped it up the last few miles, to try and catch up. There were a ton of spectators which made the finish that much more exciting. But honestly the best part of the race was seeing what everyone wore for a whole 13.1 mile run. From 'Whoopie Cushions', to Medieval princesses, it was hilarious.

Ry's chip time: 1:58:31
Becca's chip time: 2:01:05

We're all raced-out until Spring.

Farnsworth Fall Fest

Last week my parents invited us all over for some chili, corn bread muffins, and pumpkin carving! It has been a beautiful fall here in Provo. The trees are beautiful, the weather has been warm with a slight breeze, it's just been wonderful. Here's all of our pumpkins: Jen's Bat, Dave's 'BYU', Crissi's little goofy guy, Dad's classic Jack, and our 'BOO'!
Livy had fun carving pumpkins for the 2nd time of her life already! She can't wait to dress up for her second Halloween.

The Hogle Zoo

My sister-in-law Crissi put the day together. She had her two little girls, my mom came, and we all piled in the Suburban and made a day out of it. Livy is the perfect age to start taking to the zoo. She loved it.  Even though this meant she didn't get a morning nap, she was still pretty happy. She LOVED the monkeys. They were nice enough to put on a good show for her.
Livy and her cousin Addie looking at the big elephant.

It was a perfect fall day. The girls all had fun, and us moms did too! Looking forward to next time.

Family Pictures

It was time for a nice Jackson Family picture. Livy just turned 1, and we wanted to a way to remember this crazy last year that we've had. Thanks to Nicole Carmen Christensen we have some pictures that we will love and cherish forever.
