Ryan had some meetings in Austin, so of course we took advantage of Penny being under 2 and flying for free, as well as using some skymiles to go visit our favorite people in Austin, Texas. Liv loved packing her own bag, and getting ready for the trip. We flew in late Saturday night so Ryan could still go to class on Saturday and hang out with us all day Sunday before he had to go to his meetings on Monday and Tuesday. I loved seeing Penny and Trey together, they will always seem like twins to me!
On Monday morning we went to the Children's Museum and the kids had a great time. Trey and Penny were a little young for some of the activities, but they just pretended like they knew what was going on and still had fun. It was a great way to spend when it was pouring rain outside.
Penny had been pretty fussy all weekend then she had a rough night and didn't sleep much with a little bit of a fever. So we took her in for a visit to the Insta-Care, they were all really sweet with her, and diagnose a pretty "nasty" ear infection. Poor girl. After getting some antibiotics, she started having a lot more fun.
That afternoon after the babies took some good naps we went to Zilker park to play around and ride on the train, now that was a fun time. The kids all loved it, even though it was a tad bit chilly.
Once Ryan and Tim were done with work, we met them for dinner at the most yummy place in Austin. I think it was called Hop Doddy's, with some delicious hamburgers and fries.
And then in case there weren't enough calories consumed there, we decided to delve into some Gordough's donuts! Yummmmm.
Our last day there was another rainy one, but we decided to brave the cold and do a little bit of shopping and stopped by the park.
We had such a good time hanging out with Jen and Trey for a few days. I love any minute we can spend together with our little ones.
