Lagoon Day

Our friend, Neil Allred, had gotten some free passes to Lagoon for a day, but Ryan couldn't get off work. So I decided to get a babysitter and just go with Olivia. We started off on a bad foot and my tire blew out on the freeway while going 70 mph, it was so scary!! I was so lucky that I was able to keep control of my car and get to the side of the road. I was even more lucky to have someone pull over almost immediately and help me. Rod turned around after dropping off his family to come help, but I was so shaken up still. Just so glad that we got some help to put on our spare tire and make it up there and home safely.

Then we spent a lot of time on all of the little kid rides and Olivia was really brave and loved most of them. It was so fun to be there with friends, but to also be able and have some one on one time with Olivia. We need to try and go up there again soon, Olivia had so much fun and talked about it for days!

Parade of Homes

We love going to the Parade of Homes, it's so fun to see the latest design ideas, and colors and finishes and beautiful homes. We were brave this year and took our girls with us. I think we made it to almost 15 homes with the girls! The very first picture is my favorite because you can see how cute they are in their little booties, and it's also at my friend Jen's house (which was in the Parade of Homes), and I made her valences for her! It was fun to see all of my hard work up for people to see! The bottom three pictures were some of the girls favorite rooms. It was for a the most part a really good experience with having two littles with us!

Splash pad

We love summer. It was so nice to finally be warm enough to get out in a swim suit and let the girls run around the splash pad. It was also fun this year since Penny was old enough to run around and explore on her own. We went with the Poulsen's and Livy liked having some friends to run around and lay out with. I think their favorite part was actually laying on the warm cement after getting wet. Yay for sunshine.

Dance Recital

Olivia lives for performing. She loves the hair and the makeup, the pretty costume, and she is so confident that she absolutely loves getting up in front of a huge crowd with a smile and dancing. She is so sad that they only have one recital all year, she would love to do it more often.  This year they did a dance to the "Lollipop" song, and another with all of the girls to the musical "Annie". She was lucky to have her grandparents there to watch her too. I love watching her confidence in herself grow more and more each time she dances.

Welcome to Summer!

On the last day of school Erin had a fun Welcome to Summer party. We had a big picnic lunch for everyone, and lots of water guns and sprinklers. The kids all loved playing together and enjoying the sunshine. Hurray for summer!

Curiosity Museum

Another fun day at the Curiosity Museum. I love that they're getting old enough to play better together. And I hope they are never to old to let me match their outfits.

Memorial Day at Mimi's

We had the most beautiful weather on Memorial Day. We had a fun and traditional BBQ and games at Mimi's house. The girls had fun getting out the bean bags, balls and frisbees.

I absolutely love this picture of Penny. She is such a sweet little girl. I love when they start folding their arms, and closing their eyes for a prayer. It just warms my heart.

Finished it all off with some ice cream cookie sandwiches. I love these memories with my family.
