The Big News Is...

We bought a HOUSE! Yay! We still don't have internet, hopefully Mr. Comcast can work his magic this afternoon, but I was so excited to share this news! Most of you already know, but we wanted to wait to share it with everyone until we were closed and moved in. We actually bought a nice Town home in American Fork and we love love love it.

We put an offer down the end of September, the same night that another offer came in, so we had a suspenseful 24 hours until we found out that we got the house! It's actually a new town home, so we got to pick our counter tops, tile/wood floor, paint color, cabinets and carpet, it was so fun! Then we had to wait the 6-8 weeks for them to finish the building process, we took pictures each week and it was fun to see it slowly come together. We had our walk through on November 18th, and closed on the 19th, started moving in on the 20th. We were so excited to move in that we were out and about until after midnight (which is way late for us) taking loads of furniture and random belongings. We had such wonderful help, my parents were awesome and took a couple of car loads for us, Tyler Tingey and his trailer saved the day, and Lonnie Keith was such a huge help! It's so nice to finally be moved "out" and now it's a matter of moving "in" that will take some time.

We had a fabulous realtor, his name is Robert Hulme, who is actually my uncle, and he was so awesome! We couldn't have gotten this house without him, he worked so hard and was so great to work with through the whole process. So if you're looking for a realtor I strongly recommend him! :)

It's been a crazy couple of months but we are so excited to be in a new place, meet new people and have a whole new bunch of memories in this place, our first place!

We have so much to say! So much has happened, but we currently don't have the internet where we're living and we're going out of town tonight. So there will be oodles of updates next week. Stay tuned!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Something you can't live without

Last night we had a traumatic experience, our toilet was having issues. We're not plumbers, but it was not doing what it's supposed to. Needless to say, I am thankful for having a gym pass and for the gym being so close. Second, I am thankful for Keith, the Jackson family handy-man who can fix just about everything. Third, I am thankful for civilization and the times we live in. Seriously, I know this is kind of a taboo subject, so all I have to say is thank heavens for toilets.

Stimulating the Economy

We're doing our part to stimulate this economy. We bought a car! Yahoo! It's a 2006 Nissan Altima and we love it! It's so spacious, clean, has low mileage, and rides so smooth. Our friend Lonnie did such a superb job in finding the perfect car for us. Thank you Lonnie! We have been married 3 years and have only had one car, which has actually been great because we got to see each other more (dropping off and picking up each other everywhere we need to go). But now that we're both working in different cities and those cities are different than the city we live in, so we are so excited. Yay!

I Love My Job!

It wasn't until August, right before graduation, that we decided to stay in Utah County instead of moving somewhere else to some of the other potential job offers Ryan had. Because of that decision I couldn't look for a job until I knew where we would be living! So I was on the hunt--September passed and I wasn't having very much luck. Going into October I had a few job interviews here and there, but nothing was really grabbing me. Then one Saturday in October, Ry and I went shopping for kitchen chairs and we stopped in the most adorable store called Four Chairs Furniture. I loved everything about the store, and I thought, "hm...I wonder if they're hiring?". I sent an email that night, had a job interview that Monday, second interview that Tuesday and I was loving my job by the end of that same week!

In case you've never been to Four Chairs, you have to come! It's 150 South State Street in Lindon. They sell all hard wood furniture (hutches, buffets, beds, chairs, tables, dressers, desks, chests, cabinets, entertainment centers, and much more!), and then they also finish it exactly how you want it! You get to pick the paint or stain, the glaze, the level of distressing and everything. The store is also filled with the most adorable accessories to spice up any home.

Anyway, I'll be working on the floor as well as heading up most of the marketing projects and responsibilities. I absolutely love it and I am so grateful to have found such a good job. The biggest thing I was looking for when looking for a job was "would this make me excited to go to work everyday?", and it does! Just thought I'd pass on the happy news :)

oh Sargie

Ever since we got married we have been full-time students - spring, summer, fall and through winter we were all over that campus. When we saw friends and family, the small talk was always "Well...how's school?!", and now that we're done with school, we don't have an excuse to be boring. So we're done with school, just hanging out and working, and loving life, we don't have kids...so I've found more and more that people are asking about Sarge! We love our little puppy, most of the time. Every single toy we have bought for him he has found some way to destroy it. We've even seen what is on the inside of baseballs, softballs and golf balls. This little teddy bear lasted this little guy quite awhile, but once he was without a nose or ears we decided to put it out of its misery.

I can't believe that we've had him 2 1/2 years already. He is so fun to have around the house. We love our little Sargie man.
